The Picky Palate Cookbook is Finally Here plus Giveaway

Oh boy, this is quite fun to see my cookbook that I’ve been working on for almost 2 years come to life this week! Today is the official release date which means you can purchase it in various stores and order it online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Books A Million.

For those of you who pre-ordered the book on Amazon, you have received it already. It has been so much fun seeing Instagram photos of you receiving the book in the mail, makes me smile 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing your pictures!

I’ll never forget the months while I was cooking and baking recipes like a mad woman preparing for the book back in 2010/early 2011. I was in a tiny Newport Beach kitchen and ingredients were flying everywhere, lol! It was fun, exhausting and exciting all at the same time. I remember thinking, I can’t believe I am going to have my own cookbook. Now, it’s really here! All of that sweat and hard work has paid off and I finally get to share those recipes I’ve kept secret for so long 🙂

Another highlight for me through this journey was watching Matt Armendariz and Adam Pearson photograph and style my cookbook. They are so unbelievably talented and made my recipes look just as incredible as they taste. I won’t ever forget being able to watch them in action.

I feel so grateful to work with an amazing agent and team at Wiley, they have made this experience so special.

I hope you will all enjoy my book, the recipes were made with lots of love and I assure you they are incredible!! There are over 100 new recipes you can’t find on Picky Palate 🙂  Enjoy!!

Here’s a sneek peek at my Skillet Baked Mac and Cheese recipe!

The only place I didn’t get you was my email so I signed up for that! Can’t wait for those!

If I had more creativity, I would love to make a cookbook of all appetizers. Congratulations and I can’t imagine how much work this is! I compiled a church recipe book and a family recipe book with recipes sent to me and those were incredibly time consuming, so I can’t even imagine how much time this took!

I would love to write a cookbook of all the recipes that I use the most, so I could find them easily! 🙂 But then of course, I’d find new ones that I’d want to add – I guess I could just keep writing books!

I would love to write a cookbook. I think I’d have a chapter for each spice and how to highlight it in a few dishes. My grandfather was a spice salesman and I grew up teething on cinnamon sticks!! Spices are in my blood! =D

  5. Merideth

I would LOVE to write a cookbook, but it would have to be a compilation of other peoples recipes because I am not as talented as you, Jenny, to create them myself! I would want to include dinner recipes that make you super happy when you eat them! 🙂 Soups too!

I would not ever desire to publish a cookbook. I like to cook but not make up recipes. That is why I am glad we have people like you that do!

  7. Erin

I don’t want to write a cookbook. I rather just read yours. Congratulations!!! Cannot wait to see this book. I hope I win. Thanks!

I would love to write a cookbook! I would publish my sweet grandmother, Honey’s, old fashioned recipe’s. Congrats on your outstanding cookbook!

Congrats on the cookbook – what an accomplishment! If I published a cookbook, it would be focused on cooking with whole/real foods (with ingredients I can pronounce & actually know what they are!) & fresh ingredients.

  10. Cindy

I would love to write a cookbook all about desserts & then another one full of just for kids recipes.

  11. Laura Seabolt

I would love to write a cookbook! That would be so much fun! I would include recipe from all food categories – appetizers, main dishes, side dishes, desserts, breads, breakfast, etc. I love to cook all types of food so I would want it to be all-inclusive 🙂

I wouldn’t be able to write a cookbook! I can’t even follow cookbook directions! But i DO like cookbooks…..I do wish to find a cookbook that’s filled with recipes I like and cook from ….I guess my go-to cookbook…it’s still out there! Just have to find it!

I would love to write a cookbook full of family favorites that I grew up eating from my mother and grandmother’s, including the stories behind each recipe! 🙂
