Sharing my tips for taking your preschoolers to Disneyland during Halloween Time!
Just got back from an amazing trip to Disneyland Resort with my youngest son. We got to experience some amazing things to do, see and EAT during Halloween Time at the Parks.
Excited to share our trip with you and some tips to share too!
Disneyland Resort Hotels
We stayed at Disney’s beautiful Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. It is one of my very favorite Disneyland Resorts with that private entrance into Disney California Adventure Park. So nice to be able to pop back into your room if the kids (or parents) need a little nap or even quick outfit change. Such an amazing perk. Check out my review and photos of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa HERE. You can also see my review of Paradise Pier Hotel HERE and Disneyland Hotel HERE.
These gorgeous cookies are available in the lobby of the hotel for Halloween Time. Not only are they so cute, but they were some of the best cookies I’ve had.
Also in the lobby of Disney’s Grand Californian and Spa you can find this giant display of a very “Sweet” Oogie Boogie Pumpkin. It’s made of all things sweet and is quite the sight to see. You’ll even find hidden Mickey’s throughout the display. Makes a super cute photo opportunity too!
Loved peeking at the Pump-Cake Patch sign to see how many pounds of each ingredient was used. Be sure to check it out!
Disney California Adventure Park
There is so much to do and see at Disney California Adventure Park during Halloween Time. Be sure to listen overhead when you are entering the Park. Oogie Boogie has some things to say. You could say Pax was excited about this trip 🙂
As you walk through Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll see bright purple banners draping the Park walkways. Carthay Circle has bats overhead too. Pax loved this!
Cars Land
Taking a stroll through Cars Land is a must during Halloween Time at the Parks. It’s decorated so magically with “Haul-o-ween” details around every corner.
Wait until you see your favorite “Cars” pals dressed up for Halloween. You’ll see Vampire Mater, Super Hero Lightening McQueen and even Red the Fire Truck dressed up as a funny clown.
Lots of great photo opportunities and attractions to enjoy for the little ones.
Basically having the time of his life, ha!
Plaza de la Familia
The Plaza de la Familia area right next to Goofy’s Sky School is AMAZING! There are so many activities and things for the kids to do, be sure to take a stroll through and grab a bite to eat at Paradise Garden Grill.
Pax checked out this colorful “wing wall” in Plaza de la Familia 🙂
We LOVE Paradise Garden Grill area for quick meals. Got some delicious tacos and the very popular Coco Cake! Both really really delicious. This was a fun one to share, huge hit!
So Much Food To Experience
We enjoyed breakfast at Storyteller’s Cafe for Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet. There is nothing like enjoying a Character Breakfast with your little ones! Pax was singing and dancing most of the breakfast 🙂 The kids get a little coloring page to enjoy if they’d like as well. Once your server takes your drink order, you are free to go to the buffet area.
There are so many amazing breakfast options…..Mickey Waffles, French toast sticks, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruits, and even a chef making made to order Omelets. The list goes on and on.
Throughout the resort you can find family friendly and allergy-friendly choices. You’ll see a Disney Check that identifies “healthier” kids menu options.
Characters make their way to each table for photo opportunities. That’s one of my favorite things about a Character Dining Experience, no waiting in lines, you can get so many great photos with your favorite Characters.
Other Character Dining around the Resort are Disney’s PCH Grill at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, Goofy’s Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel and Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park.
Be sure to check out my reviews of the Disneyland Halloween Time Food Guide HERE. So many amazing things to enjoy this time of year.
Services
Had the chance to tour Disney California Adventure’s Baby Center. What an amazing service for moms with little ones.
The Baby Center, located in Disney California Park’s Pacific Wharf next to Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop and at Disneyland Park, the end of Main Street next to First Aid. They provide full-size changing tables, private nursing spaces with comfy chairs, and baby food prepping areas with a sink and microwave. You’ll also be able to purchase essentials like diapers, wipes, baby food, formula, bottles, pacifiers, sunscreen, some over-the-counter medicines and other essentials you might need.
Other helpful services include stroller rentals, family friendly restrooms, lockers, parent rider switch and the Disneyland app!
Character Encounters
There are some amazing Characters to meet during Halloween Time including Vampirina! She’s available for Meet and Greet times at Disney California Park. Check your guide map or Disneyland app for times.
Other popular Character Encounters at Disney California Adventure Park are Lightening McQueen and Mater at Cars Land, Anna, Elsa and Olaf at Hollywood Land and Spider-Man at Hollywood Land. You can also find Goofy dressed up for Halloween along with Daisy Duck and more at Disney California Adventure.
Disney Junior Dance Party!
Disney Junior Dance Party is so perfect for your preschoolers! Pax was even on the older side and LOVED it. The music, lights and energy are contagious. The adults were dancing in our seats right along with the kids.
Pax had so much fun. Throughout the show there is “snow” that falls, bubbles and confetti/streamers for the kids. It is the ultimate dance party! Don’t miss this one at Disney California Adventure Park. Check your guide map or Disneyland app for showtimes throughout the day.
Paint The Night Parade!
We ended our time at Disney California Park with the Paint The Night Parade! This is one of the best parades I’ve been to. The music, lights and parade floats are completely magical. Don’t miss this one.
Disneyland Park!
Disneyland Park is decorated with gorgeous Halloween Time banners, pumpkins are gorgeous Fall colored decor lining the streets. It is so festive and happy!
Pax had so much fun meeting Halloween Time Goofy in his skeleton costume. Meet Skeleton Goofy at Disneyland Park on Main Street U.S.A. Check your guide map or Disneyland app for times.
How adorable is Halloween Time Mickey?! Pax loved him. They were fist bumping and giving high fives. So fun! Find Halloween Mickey at Disneyland Park on Main Street as well.
You’ll find “Pumpkin” Donald Duck on Main Street U.S.A. too! He is adorable!!
Other popular Character Encounters at Disneyland Park are the Disney Princesses at Fantasy Faire and Mickey, Minnie and pals at Mickey’s Toontown.
You’ll find LOTS of Disney Villains popping up on Main Street U.S.A. during Halloween Time! Aladin’s Jafar was spook-tacular!
Further down Main Street U.S.A. towards Sleeping Beauty Castle you’ll find these adorable decorated pumpkins surrounding Walt and Mickey. Be sure to walk through and see your favorite characters.
You have to check out Disneyland Park’s Fantasmic nighttime show! The lights and music and entertainment is so much fun. One of my favorites. Loved watching Pax’s face during the bright lights and water projections.
There’s also Remember Dreams Come True Fireworks at Disneyland Park. Check your guide map or Disneyland app for showtimes.
Disneyland Resort has so many great things to offer for your preschooler during Halloween Time, hope you’ve enjoyed our tips!
