Vintage Candy Giveaway from Blickenstaff’s

Contest is now over. Winners have been notified, thanks 🙂

I’m not sure I have ever had more fun going through a box than I did a few weeks ago. Talk about a grown woman oohing and ahhing over all of this awesome candy. It was even more fun watching my boys go through it when they got home from school 🙂

Blickenstaff’s, located in Provo Utah is a premier toy and candy store. They wanted to hold a giveaway for 3 lucky Picky Palate Readers to sample some of their favorite pieces. How fun is that? Be sure to take a look at their website. So many fun things.

Blickenstaff’s is on Facebook too, be sure to show them some love and “like” them while you are there.

Take a peek and see the goodies up for grabs 🙂

Yum.

That’s a tough one…I love all candy. I haven’t been able to have sugar since I was 2 due to diabetes, but now I have had a transplant, I can eat sugar. Trust me I am making up for lost time. Right now I am really into Peppermint Patties.

  7. Megan D

I am not much of a sugar candy person. Don’t get me wrong…I like Skittles and Starbursts and what not…I just can’t eat a lot before I am tired of them…whereas I can eat a pound of peanut m&m’s….Hmmm….maybe I should start buying more of the other stuff πŸ˜‰

I NEED to know if this store has Bonkers. They are my fave candy from my childhood that they no longer make. It would make dreams come true πŸ˜‰

  8. I love vintage candy- recently we hosted a 50’s style wedding reception for my 70 year-old dad (who found love again after losing his bride of 45 years). That age group loved the theme – and we had a super fun “retro” candy shoppe with all kinds of 50’s era candy that the guests could take home – one thing I discovered while doing my candy shopping was the Nut Goodie! WOW is it good. If you ever get a chance to try one you should! http://www.pearsonscandy.com/nutgoodie.aspx
They also make “Bun” bars which are incredible too! I hope I win!! πŸ™‚

  9. Jenette Marie

milk chocolate and I are having a love affair…plain, covering caramel, covering peppermint…you name it! As long as it doesn’t have any nuts πŸ˜‰

picking a fav is tough, is it the laffy taffy that’s rough? or the tootsie rolls that you just cant get enough? now and laters were a top pick, along with sprees from St Nick. Caramello always solved my candy fix…but in the end, I just can’t resist, the TWIX.

My favorite type of candy is any combo of chocolate and caramel! I looked through your pictures hoping to see a Marathon Bar, that was my favorite candy bar as a kid. I don’t know if you remember or not, but it was a long braid of chocolate and caramel and you could stretch it soooo long!

  24. As I kid I used to love the sweet fruity candies. I remember loving the fun stix that you dip in the powder. As an adult I love picking up a plain ol’ milk chocolate dove bar.

  25. Haley003

(Such as Oreos dipped in peanut butter or pretzels in melted white chocolate.) However, my all-time favorite candy bar will have to be Hershey’s Cookies n’ Cream. Why? Because I LOVE white chocolate!

I can’t decide on a favorite, many of the candy types in this package are ones I LOVED as a child! Things have been very tight for my family and I haven’t bought a single thing, this would be an AWESOME package to have under my tree for my children!

    Those are my favorite candys

  59. Jordan

I love love love cherry twizzler (the nibs). I can’t eat just a handful, I have to finish the bad in one sitting. But really, there aren’t many candies that I don’t like. It’s too bad sugar couldn’t take the place of fruits and veggies on the healthy plate layout, because then I could actually say that I was eating balanced meals haha

  60. Sarah
