Hey eveyone!! What a fun giveaway for you this weekend, your kids will love this product!! The nice folks at Plasmart have offered one lucky Picky Palate reader their own box of Yummy Dough!!

The boys and I tried this product out a few weeks ago and they seriously had so much fun. The products come as individual powder mixes, you mix in some water and kneed until dough like. What a great concept that after you create with this dough, you can bake and eat it! My kids were thrilled and couldn’t believe they could actually eat their “Play Dough!”

Oh goodness yes, my daughter has tried to eat play dough! this looks like a great project for her she would love this!

  2. Julie

My little guy hasn’t tried to eat play dough, thankfull, but he sure loves to play with it. And he loves to pretend to cook so this would be tons of fun for him!

  3. My kids have never eaten (or tried to eat) their playdough. I think it’s because we don’t play with it as much as they’d like. Okay, here’s my problem: They make these wonderful creations and then are devestated by having to squish them up. It’s not worth the tears afterward to pull it out. The idea of making them into cookies is awesome! No tears and a tastey snack! Who could ask for more?

  4. Hillary Crump

THey haven’t tried to eat real dough yet. But who doesn’t love trying to eat something so fun and colorful.

  5. Kelly Ann T.

I think every kids who has ever played with playdoh has at least tried it once. The boys would love to make creations and then eat them. They love to make Christmas cookies so I know this would be fun for them too.

  6. Melissa Hodgen

Yes! They always try to eat play dough and I would love to have some yummy dough to make MY stomach feel better when they eat it. I’ve tried peanut butter play dough, but you can’t bake that!

  7. Kimmy

I haven’t heard of this very cool. I know my younger preschools tend to taste real play dough so this would be very cool to use instead.

  8. tanya

i never let the kids have playdough for fear it would end up in the carpet, the dogs mouth and in little tiny balls all over the house. At least with this stuff I could let go of my prefectionism a little more!

  9. mckenzey

I haven’t had my little toddler play with playdough because i think she would eat it. i think she would love playing with this cool product!

  10. TiffanyMarie

  13. Sandy

My first daughter ate some when she was 1 (and got it all in my carpet) and I haven’t bought it since. My next two kids have been deprived of play dough! This stuff would be perfect!!!

  14. Karen Mack

I have to say I have never heard of Yummy Dough but I think it’s a neat idea…who doesn’t love to play with their food! My girls, especially my 5 year old, love to play with playdoh and it always involves making food…ice cream cones and cupcakes are often treats they bring me!

  15. Linda Bolz

This looks like so much fun. My two little ones always think they should be able to eat the play dough and are always surprised when it tastes terrible. They would be delighted with this dough!

  19. my teen son had a thing for Elmer’s Glue when he was a kid, but never Play-Doh. I can remember when I was in elementary school a LONG time ago, there was this kid that would eat the nasty smelling paste we used to glue our art projects together. My daughter would love the Yummy Dough because she thinks she is quite the little artist, and it’s even better if she can eat and share her own creations with the rest of us!

  20. I KNOW my kids would love this!! They’ve never tried to eat the real Play-Dough, but they’ve tried the homemade kind. We make that quite a bit but it doesn’t taste so good πŸ˜‰

  21. Hi, my kids have tried to eat pretty much everything. I’m not sure this would even make it in the oven. It looks like a lot of fun though! I might get some for my daycare. Thanks for a great giveaway.

  22. First of all I love your your blog I check it everyday to see if there is something new I can make. I am a stay at home mom. I have two kids a 2 year old and a 6 month old and I am constantly am trying to find ways to entertain, play dough always ends up eaten and sugar cookie dough some times is just to much work. I live in omaha NE and it is freezing to say the least so I always need new things to keep my kids busy. I think my kids and I would love this product and would love if you would consider us for this giveway.

  23. Um, magic powder that turns into dough they can play with and then bake and eat? Did unicorns created this product? It sounds like the work of magical unicorns.

  24. Cara M

My 2-yr-old is convinced that she is “making cookies” whenever she plays with play dough, and I know it’s just a matter of time before it goes in her mouth!

  25. Kathy

my grandkids would eat anything you’d put in front of them if it looked appealing… so I’d say they’d try it !!!

  26. Suzanne

My kids have definitely tried to eat play dough when they were younger. And some of their friends as well. How fun to actually get to bake and eat their play dough! With all the fun colors, they would love that!

  27. Lori Lion

I don’t have any “little ones” but my nephew would just love this! He has not tried to eat playdo, but loves to help with in the kitchen.

  28. Brooke

My toddler always eats the playdough! YUCK! My 6 year old knows better, but she would eat it if I told her she could!

  29. Kim

This would be perfect for my kids! Just yesterday my daughter was eating play dough, probably because it was our Kool-Aid play dough (still not edible though). They would love this because they can eat it and I don’t have to tell them no.

  30. Theresa fr New Mexico

My kids tried to eat play dough and now my grandkids are trying it! LOL I will definately introduce this product to my grandkids.

  31. Katie

Just yesterday my 2 year old was eating green playdough and we were out in the sun so it was smeared all over her face and clothes. I could see it on her teeth so I know she took a bite. Fun playdough idea.

  32. Nachelle

We have only pulled out play dough a couple times, with no eating tried yet, but how fun to be able to play and then bake and eat…she loves making cookies so this stuff sounds like tons of fun!

  33. One of our little guys gets into everything he is always mixing and making, loves play dough, but gets frustrated when the color mixes together and everything ends up being brown; and, he would really LOVE to eat a lot of his creations after he has made them. This would be a HUGE treat for him!

  34. Brandee

My two year old is in love with play dough!! Luckily she has never tried to eat it. But, I know she would love if is she was able to!!

  35. I don’t have children of my own, but many of my friends do… I have a “toy” bucket for when they come over with their children in tow and I can say ALL of them (ages 8mo-6yrs) have tried to eat something at some point that they shouldn’t have.

I would love to have this for the a night I babysit so my friends can have a “date-night”.

  36. My little girl is still too small for Play Dough but she is already trying to shove everything she can into her mouth so I am sure it would happen! P.S. I voted for your little boy. He is ADORABLE!

  37. Jen in CO

Boy do I need this, at Christmas time I had the bright idea to make homemade pumpkin scented playdough….un yeah, it smelled so good, I had to toss it as my son who was 2 at the time would not stop trying to sneak a piece when I turned around, bad ideas (but it sure did smell good, lol). This would certainly solve that dilema, quite tastily I might add, he’d love it.

  38. rachel

What a great idea! If my kids ever got hold of this, I’m not sure I could let them play with the regular stuff again because they’d want to eat it every time.

  39. My neice and nephew would love this stuff!!! Their mother doesn’t allow play-dough in the house, so they haven’t tried to eat it, as far as i know, but this might want to make themm start!

  40. katklaw777

I once made a homemade playdoh with salt and mine learned quickly it wasn’t for eating! Mine would love this cause the colors are so bright. Thanks for the giveaway.

  41. My little 4 year old daughter always makes wonderful “fake” food creations with her play dough and she continually says wouldn’t it be great if we could eat this cause it looks so yummy. What a great surprise to let her eat her creations 1 time. So want to win this!!

  42. Jenny

My kids were just commenting yesterday how the playdough was too salty to eat! This looks really fun! They would love it!

  43. Jenna W

Oh yes, my daughter has tried to eat playdoh, this is such a great invention. My daughter would love it! Thanks!!

  44. when my kiddos were younger they tried to eat play doh but, not so much anymore. I think they would really love this, first of all because they love play-doh and they love baking with me! Also, being allowed to actually eat the play-doh is an added perk. πŸ™‚

  45. Amy

My 2 little ones no longer try to eat play-doh but love making fun shaped cookies.

I work in Early Intervention and this is something that many families would love, especially those with sensory needs. I will definitely be sharing this product with families.

  46. brittony

Yes, they have tried to eat playdough. It wasn’t pretty. They love making things for themselves in general, so they would really love the Yummy dough.

  47. Kim S.

I never heard of Yummy Dough but we play with playdoh all the time here. My kids would love to be creative and not worry about mixing colors because in the end they were going to eat it.

  48. Carol

My youngest is 3 and still eats everything. I even put extra salt in my homemade playdough to keep her from eating it…didn’t work:( Would love to win!

  49. I think every kid tries to eat play-doh at least once. Mine are definitely no exception. : ) They would love this…they love play-doh, any kitchen project, and eating cookies. This would totally be a winner and a perfect activity for the snowy afternoons that seem never-ending lately.

    I’m already following you here.

    Following on FB now too.

    And twitter….

  50. My little guy LOVES playing with playdough. Santa gave him a playdough kitchen for Christmas and you would not believe the things that we have ‘eaten’ since then! Even if I don’t win, I’ll have to get some of this!

  51. camille

Honestly, my daughter has yet to tri to eat her play dough because she enjoys squishing it too much. But… she LOVE baking and LOVES play dough, so the tow of them together would make her day. I know she would love the Yummydough.

  52. Teralyn

Yes I think all of my kids have tried to eat play dough at one point. And I know they would love this because I love to bake but sometimes its hard to include my kids all of the time – so this can be their little adventure.

  59. Liza
