What exciting news to find Ragú® Old World Style® Traditional Pasta Sauce now has two servings of veggies in every half cup.
We are massive pasta eaters in the Picky Palate house, so I was thrilled to try Ragu’s new pasta sauce with all the extra veggies packed in.
I found that the new formulation doesn’t actually have any different ingredients than the old formula. They’ve just packed more veggies into the formula to get to 2 servings of veggies per half cup (vs. 1 serving per half cup). The taste is the same great taste and they want to assure moms that the sauce they’re used to and have been feeding their families for years hasn’t changed.
We tried the Skillet Pasta and Beef Dinner with our new veggie packed Ragu and the kids went nuts for it. Before I added the sauce, I made sure I tried a spoon of each (the old and the new) and I enjoyed the chunkiness of the new sauce because I knew it was packed with lots of vegetables!
The dinner was a huge success and it literally took minutes to prepare. I love pulling out quick and simple recipes during the busy school week and that is exactly what Ragu helps us with. A great pasta sauce packed with lots of vegetables. Mom is happy and the kids are happy!

I usually toss some pasta with olive oil, salt & pepper, and parmesan cheese. That’s my go-to pasta, especially when I’m sick and need something simple.
I love to buy meatballs and let them heat up in the sauce with pasta!!
My favorite quick and easy pasta recipe is making some bow ties and throwing Ragu on top of it! I hope I win!
more veggies per serving? Awesome!!
One of our quick and easy recipes (even uses a jar of Ragu!) is to prepare a bag of frozen ravioli then combine it with a jar of sauce in a 9×13 pan. Top with mozzarella and parmesan and bake. Tastes great with a salad.
My daughter is crazy about gnocchi. Takes 5 minutes to cook and she just likes butter and parm on it. Can’t really get easier than that!
Besides just spaghetti with tomato sauce – I like bow tie pasta with a package pesto mix. MmmmMmmm.

I found a good Pasta Carbonnara recipe from Cooking Light and it goes over very well in my house. It is rather easy as well.
i love roasting whatever veggies i have on hand and tossing them with pasta and beans with some tomato sauce and parm!
crock pot lasagna
-you can assemble the whole thing the night before and plug it in to cook 4-6 hrs before you eat.
I roast whatever veggies need to be used up in my fridge and stir them into a jar of warmed sauce, serve over whole wheat rotini with a sprinkle of cheese!
I boil spaghetti and take out frozen meatballs and add to Ragu sauce. It’s quick, easy and delicious.

I like the Ragu chunky sauces mixed with lots of extra veggies, served on spaghetti.
I love to make the kids spaghetti and meatballs on a school night, but we also love to make macaroni with corn, spaghetti sauce and ground beef all mixed in together. I think pasta is a big hit anytime.

I love pasta and meatballs.
Penne Pasta with Alfredo and Marinara mixed with cheese on top. The kids’ fave!
Of course good ol’ spaghetti is always a favorite but we also like a pasta dish I ate growing up–Chilironi. Yumm!
Spaghetti with turkey parmesan meatballs!
I make a pasta with a soup I get in the deli section of my local Vons for the sauce (it’s their Tuscan Tomato and Basil Bisque soup…yum!). SUPER easy, just pour a generous amount of the soup over cooked pasta and top with LOTS of freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Delish!
Good ol’ spaghetti and meatballs. My twist is that I make a huge batch of spaghetti sauce and another extra large batch of meatballs every few months. That way, when I need that quick meal, all I have to do is cook the pasta and heat up the rest!
It may be boring, but spaghetti w/ meat sauce is quick, easy, cheap, and good.
spaghetti squash with red sauce….couldn’t be easier. just bake the squash, scrape out the insides and you have low carb “pasta” and get your veggies in too!
Baked penne pasta with lots of cheese on top!
Plain spaghetti is quick!
I love spaghetti and meatballs, its tastes good, is fast and I always have all the stuff for it.
Veggie Sghetti- basically spaghetti with added veggies in the sauce. Fast and easy, and everyone eats it!
Alfredo with chicken…add some salad and garlic bread and yummy!
Homemade marinara and lots of garlic!
I recently discovered Spaghetti Carbonara, and it is now my GO TO dinner when I’m coming home from a long day at school!
