How To Make Brownie Covered Oreos
Here’s your line up. Don’t worry if you can’t find the Holiday Oreos, any Oreo variety will do 🙂 Please note, I currently use Ghirardelli white melts found in the baking isle of your grocery store.
Whip up your brownie mix….
Time to dip! Yes, your hands will get messy….the more for you to lick 🙂
Place your dipped Oreos in muffin tins that have been sprayed with cooking spray. Non-stick is best.
Drizzle with white chocolate, sprinkle and you get these little cuties! Wait until you take a bite, the Oreo gets kind of cake like…mmmm!
Tips For Perfect Christmas Cookies
- Use any flavor Oreo Cookie you’d like. The Holiday variety has a red center that looks amazing when cut in the middle.
- Use a non-stick muffin tin for best results. Much easier to remove after baked.
- Ghirardelli makes awesome white melts that microwave beautifully and makes drizzling over top a breeze.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days room temperature or 5-6 days chilled.
- Note, Oreos get cake like when baked. They do not stay crunchy 🙂
Brownie Covered Oreos
Ingredients
- 1 Brownie mix or use your own brownie recipe
- 1 package Oreos I used the Holiday Oreos
- White chocolate melted for drizzle
- White nonpariels Sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare brownie batter according to package directions. Leave in mixing bowl. Dip Oreos in brownie batter then place in bottom of a non-stick muffin pan that has been generously sprayed with cooking spray. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until brownies are cooked through, doesn't take long.
- As soon as you remove the brownies from oven, take a plastic knife and run along edges, this is VERY important so the brownies come out nicely from muffin pan. Let cool for 5 minutes, remove drizzle with melted white chocolate.

I tried to make these and they didn’t come out of my pan very well, do you think it would work using muffin liners?
I made these and baked them in the pan you suggested. They turned out perfect.
I just tried these! They turned out so good. Man, dipping those Oreos is really messy! But it was fun! I like getting to draw fun shapes on the cookies with the icing too. Great recipe! I can’t wait to try more!
This is really a wonderful recipe for special holidays or just a simple snack time. I couldn’t believe that there are brownies that looked so cute and small. And I was thinking of square brownies with nuts as their toppings. It seems easy and he best thing is baking consists of 12-15 minutes.

I love this recipe. I have even changed it by covering chips ahoy cookies as well! They are a big hit! Thanks
Finally just got around to making these! I had a little trouble with some of them sticking, but otherwise they were great! I topped them off with melted drizzle from a Hershey’s Cookies N Cream and a regular Hershey’s bar. Dee-lish! Thank you for all you do! I check this site daily, and have had a number of successes using your wonderful recipes. 🙂
I made these for a bake sale recently and they were a big hit. I can’t wait to try some with the various Oreo flavors. YUM!
Curse you Picky Palate! First it was the bakery style cookies made with Oreos and now these. We made them as minis (with mini oreos of course), using Ina Garten’s brownie recipe and they turned out great! As if Ina’s recipes or Oreos couldn’t get any better…
These looked so good that we had to make them. Verdict is these are a keeper!! Can’t just eat one though… Thanks for sharing !!
My co-worker just made these and brought them in to share…
I was lucky to have gotten one by the time i came in to work
at 7pm! They were a huge hit and I will definately be making
these all year as gifts!
Making these now for the first time. I am always baking and looking for new recipes so I’m excited to be trying something new!
decided to make these, and used oreos.. but then had some extra batter so i took some tagalongs (girl scout cookies) and used those! just put them in the oven and can’t wait!
I am going to make this with a homemade brownie mix and fudge-o cookies. I cannot wait!
I was talking about all the different variations of these cookies with co workers….i was doing the stuffed ones so he did the brownie oreos. he used cupcake liners…everyone was so surprised to bite into them and get an oreo too!!
As for my stuffed ones…..RAAAAAAWWWWWRRRRRRR!!!! love love love them!
Making these right now. Pretty sure they won’t turn out exactly as they are supposed to. I used the same brownie mix as in the picture but it’s so darn thick that I am getting too much brownie per cookie. Have 24 baking in the oven and doubt there is enough batter for all of the remaining cookies. I’m using the regular muffin pans I have. They will certainly be edible and good but not sure how they will look when done. Doubt hubby and 3-year-old will really care.
I tried these and linked back to you on my blog. LOVE the photos on your site! Thanks for all the yummy recipes and super cute ideas!
I needed to make something special for a “thank you” and turned to you….. started at today… which looked amazing by the way….kept on going backward while bookmarking things left and right..(thanks for many days of meals <3 )…… then I got to these … stop… "honey, your in charge, gotta run to the store"……. just finished cleaning up and WOW these are a serious treat! Thank you for sharing your wonderful creativity!

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I just used this recipe as part of the desserts for my daughter’s first birthday party and they were a HIT! Thank you!
I made these, the neighborhood kids were playing outside. I brought them HOT, Un-iced – to the dads. I think they went weak in the knees.
Mine did not stick at all. BUT they looked like mini-cakes. When I looked like at your sample pan, it didn’t have a rounded bottom. I’m all about the looks (after the taste) and I want mine rounded, too.
Should I use much less brownie mix?
HINTS:
mess – I used a candy dipping tool and there was no mess
sticking – (posted earlier) i coat my pans with butter then flour – guaranteed to work
Alternatives:
My friend suggested Double Stuffed Oreos. She is a sugar freak! lol
My other friend suggested adding a Reese’s cup on top of the Oreo, after it was originally dipped. (I think I’d go into a sugar coma).
I just recently made these for our house warming party, well tried to anyways. They looked good, but I baked them according to the brownie recipe for the time and totally burnt the crap out of them 🙁
Well now I know not to cook them for a long time!
I made these last week and LOVED them. I used my sister’s awesome brownie recipe. I will be linking up to it on my blog. Thanks so much for sharing!
I just made them!!!! HEAVENLY!!! thanx for your instructions!!!
miranda
Put these up on my blog tonight! Thanks for the creative genius!

How the heck did you keep the brownie soft? I tried using all sorts of temperatures and times and they still came out hard as a rock.
Made these with my sis and loved them .. after we fixed it :). We baked it for a few minutes less, I like my brownies chewy, and since baking them in the pan proved messy and turned out crunchy brownies, we lined the cupcake tins with paper liners and sprayed the liners, the brownie batter rose much higher and we got yummy brownie covered oreos. Unlike the chocolate cookie covered oreos I prefered these at room temp instead of warm but to each his own 🙂 thanks for the recipe
So these are pretty much the cutest “brookies” ever. I don’t care if the holidays are over, I’m totally making these. They look like the perfect snowstorm snack…
I made this a couple of times this past month. They have been a hit with everyone who has tried them! Thanks so much for such a simple/easy recipe! Everyone thinks they are difficult 😉
I made these using my silicon cupcake liners and they popped right out. They have a bit of the ridged edge from the liners but were delish!
I just made these and they will forever have a place on my Christmas Cookie tray. Easy and pretty and yummy! I had already purchased Trader Joe’s Candy Cane Jo Jo’s, so I used them instead of Oreo’s.
I just finished making them and they are soooo good! My kids couldn’t stop eating them and they are for Christmas day! I made 32 of them. The reason why most people are saying they do not come out like the photo, is because most likely we are using too much brownie batter. Here, the baker dipped the oreo and then put in the muffin tin. I wanted more brownie with surprise oreo middle, so i put a little batter in the tin, put in an oreo and then covered with brownie batter. I topped some with crushed peppermint and others with drizzled cream cheese icing. These are definitely a keeper!
Yay!! So glad to hear you loved them!!
Those are simply amazing…I shall try them for sure! What an original idea!!
Thank you for the awesome recipe!!! It was a great recipe to do with my very young daughter. Here’s our adventure if you care to take a peak. 🙂

Loved your post Bobbi! Thanks for sharing 🙂
HI! I just made these. My first go round I used a metal pan and they did stick pretty badly. I do need to get the Pam specifically for baking. The second 12 I used a silicone pan with a lot of Pam and let them sit for a few minutes before trying to take them out. Got 11/12 perfect. I think the trick is letting them cool a bit. But I will definitely be getting the baking Pam.
Thanks for this fantastic recipe! I’ll be using it again for other holiday gifts. Great idea. I’m your newest follower!
Merry Christmas!
xoxo,
~Ela
How does an entire batch of oreos fit in a single pan? Did you use two pans or did you save the batter and run a second set through? I’m apparently a bit dense here. thanks
these look absolutely delicious. Thank you for showing me how to make these.
