If anyone asks me my favorite editing software for all of my photos, without hesitation I say Lightroom. No question. I’ve never been a photoshop gal because of the learning curve. Lightroom is so easy to use, I was so excited to learn that I figured it out in just minutes. (I am not tech savvy at all)
It sure makes my job easy as a food blogger being able to touch up my photos ever so slightly to get just what I am looking for.

There are so many before and after pictures I can show you, but this is one I did just last week when I was photographing my Double Chocolate Butterfinger Cake. We had some friends over and their dog was outside my window watching my cake, lol! I snapped a photo and as you can see on the left, it was dark and gray. With just a few touch ups from Lightroom you get the picture on the right. Love!!

What I take pictures of the the most are kids, family and friends lots of special occasions and just average ordinary days. Things that srike me as interesting I always carry my camera with me.
I have a wonderful view of a farm and a shelterbelt (a row of trees for those of you who are city mouse types). I take lots of pictures of the different kinds of weather we get here in Minnesota. Double rainbows, snowbanks, flocks of geese, skies of the deepest blue….

The majority of the photos I take are of our kids! We have three girls and I want to make sure I capture as many of the little moments as possible! It’s always fun to look back and remember 3 year old Piper looking like KISS after she painted herself with sissy’s black liquid eye liner!
I was just looking at the camera roll on my phone the other day, and noticed that the majority of the pictures I take are of my dog. I do take some of food, and places I travel to, but the majority are of my dog.

Well, I take all sorts of pictures. I love to take pictures when we are at the beach of the beach scenes. I take pictures of beautiful food at restaurants and I take pictures of my sweet Bulldog, Sadie — when she will actually let me! =)

It’s a toss up between my dog (our fur baby) and food. I take a lot of photos of both.
I would definitely have to say my family… Recently I have also been trying to sneak myself into pictures so I can have some pictures of me with my new shorter hair. I used to have hair down to my lower back and then cut it to a short A bob.
