I’m crazy about pasta in general but any kind with well-seasoned chicken, mushrooms and sun-dried tomato alfredo sauce and I’m bound to eat WAY too much!

  5. wyomom2

I love simple, rustic italian food. I would say my go to is tomatoe garlic and basil sauce over meatballs. Some lovey garlic cheese bread to wipe up the bowl. Yum!

  6. My favorite Italian meal I make is shrimp and vegetables (asparagus, roasted red peppers, and whatever else I have on hand) tossed in a garlic butter sauce. So yummy!

  7. Meghan

I adore my husband’s red sauce with meat balls. His mom came over from Sicily as a little girl and though I never got to meet her, she did give him some great cooking skills that I thoroughly enjoy.

angel hair pomodoro! seriously, it doesn’t get better than bright, seasonally fresh tomatoes, fragrant basil, and a flavorful olive oil (hi, Crisco!) all tossed into some light angel hair pasta. NOM!

  10. Brittany C.

oh geez there’s a LOT, thin-crust pizza with mozzarella, basil, tomatoes and feta, bruschetta chicken, pasta carraba, yummmmmm

  11. I love pretty much any and ALL Italian food, but if I HAD to choose, I’d probably go for an eggplant parmesan or a chicken saltimbocca. Now I’m craving Italian πŸ™‚

  12. My favorite Italian (not really a meal… but oh well)is probably the bread component. Th past is always good, but the bread + EVOO + balsamic combo is what makes me happy πŸ™‚

  13. My favorite italian meal is eggplant rolantini, super thin breaded eggplant, rolled with cheeses and bits of italian sausage then baked in sauce with mozzerella … yum!

  14. Well … pizza, of course. Thin crust. Fresh flavours. Or that made from scratch ravioli with goat cheese and pumpkin that I had in Louisville, Kentucky. Mmm … mmm .. mmmmmmm

  15. Linda Franks

Okay, I don’t think I have a favorite in any particular meal including Italian. My problem is I like almost everything! But, I do like to take boneless, skinless chicken breasts; marinate them overnight in Italian dressing; fry in olive oil till done; keep warm while adding to pan onions and green peppers till soft and tranclucent, then add Italian style tomatoes, basil, oregano, garlic, etc. Serve on top of chicken and spinkle with parmesan. I dont’ have a name for it. I just like it!

  16. Linda Franks

That sandwich looks yummy! too bad I am low carbing it right now! But, I did vote for you and brought your percentage up a little bit!

  25. I voted! Can I tell you, my husband and I stayed at a Ronald McDonald house (Portland, OR) when my youngest was having open heart surgery at 5 WEEKS old!! It means the word to me you picked that charity! Thanks for that too!
Good Luck!! Have fun in NY!!!

  26. Emma

I dream of a leisurely meal starting off with bread and olive oil, then gnocchi, and of course, a nice glass (or 2) of wine!

  27. VickiT

I watched the videos and paid attention to thier charity as well as the sandwich. I love the Ronald McDonald house because it’s SO SOOOOOOO important for parents to be able to be close to their children if they are hospitalized for any length of time. I had twins and they were in the neo-natal nursery for two weeks after they were born because of health problems and then another week in the newborn nursery before they came home. I wish I had a place to stay closer to the hospital back then because it was a 30 minute drive each way and it was so exhausting with the drive and stress combined.

Plus your sandwich looks amazing too so you got my vote. GOOD LUCK!

  28. VickiT
