Mozzarella Stuffed Homemade Meatballs
Bringing more delicious dinner ideas your way! Anyone else think they could eat these meatballs everyday next week and be completely happy?! Heaven knows my family could and practically did last week, lol! My boys devoured these gorgeous beef balls and are very sad they are gone now.
I’ve created a simple homemade meatball that is stuffed with those gorgeous marinated Mozzarella balls you’ll find in the refrigerated section of your grocery store by the fresh Mozzarella. They are a bit on the pricey side, but worth every single penny according to my family 🙂
Hope you enjoy! On another note, did anyone see Adjustment Bureau over the weekend?! We loved it! I couldn’t be more thrilled that my sister and her family are visiting from AZ! We are off to Disney today, let’s hope the weather cooperates with us!
Here’s your line up 🙂
Little Mozzarella balls straight from heaven, love these blasted things.

I am making these for a date tonight. I didn’t put Tabasco, Worcestershire, or mustard in it, but I wrapped each mozzarella ball in prosciutto and then stuffed the meat ball with that. I am going to use an arrabbiata sauce and I am serving it over home made noodles. I think its going to turn out great. Thanks for the idea!
The things I would do to be able to make this right now!!
I miss cooking so much. Definitely a downside of college.
I love meatballs, I’ll definitely be making these when I’m home next!
These are so good! I tripled the recipe because I added 1lb of ground pork and 1 lb of ground hot Italian sausage. It was still amazing!!!
Served these to my family Friday night and they almost licked the pan clean. They LOVED them. It was also fun to make.
UNBELIEVABLE!!! Thank you so much for the fantastic new recipe!
I made these the other night for dinner. The meatballs had great flavor and the cheese was an awesome addition to them. Thanks for another great one!
Oops, I just realized I already posted about these a couple weeks ago! See, that is how much I loved them–I wanted to make SURE I posted!!
I’ve made these twice now. AMAZING! I can see why they are one of your favourite things to eat Jenny (I saw that on that yummy mummy website you were featured on!) Thank you for this fantastic recipe, that would even be fabulous without the cheese if one wanted–but who would want to leave the cheese out??!!?!
Thanks for a keeper. Everyone fights over these leftovers (if there are any).
I just wanted to let you know I made these tonight and we loved them! Thanks so much for sharing. 🙂
So glad to hear it Christina!! Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for the feedback Christina, glad they were a hit!
I made these for dinner last night and they were AWESOME!! Can’t wait to heat up the leftovers for lunch
Made these last night with my boyfriend. He’s a avid lover of meatballs and said these were some of the best he’s had! I recently found Picky Palate and this was the first recipe I’ve tried and loved them myself. Cannot wait to try the other recipes, especially the cookie recipes! I may have to start working out harder, but it’ll definitely be worth it. Thanks!
I made these last night, SUPER YUMMY. I am actually eating two right now for lunch. They may be even better as leftovers! I may have to eat the other two in the fridge! Thanks for the recipe.
These are divine!!! Most meatballs are so bland, but even without the cheese these would be fab. But with the mozza—-yummmmmm! I can’t wait to make these again. Both my husband and 4-yr old loved these and look forward to another meal of it.
We love this recipe at our house too 🙂 Glad you enjoyed!
We tried these the other night. WOW! They were a huge hit and lucky we had leftovers (I made the meatballs much smaller than you suggested), so I ate some of them yesterday for lunch and when my daughter got home and found out their wasn’t much left she claimed them for her supper. I LOVE trying new recipes and usually experiment so much I only make each recipe a few times a year, but this one we’ll be having again VERY soon.
I also love that the meatballs themselves are bursting with flavour and would even taste fab on their own! Thank you for this recipe and keep ’em coming!
Wonderful! So glad to hear you enjoyed the meatballs 🙂
Wait a minute. This isn’t a dessert! Are you feeling okay? 😉 😛
These sound delicious. Like others, I’ve had stuffed burgers before, but never gone so far as to stuff individual meatballs. Hmm.
Made these last night with ground turkey… soo good, yum! Thank you for all of your great recipes, from a fellow foodie in Huntington Beach!

I fallowed a link from Pioneer woman to your website, it is my first time here and I had just been thinking about making mozzarella stuffed meatballs. I stuff burgers but I have never stuffed meatballs before I was thinking about making them and then I read your blog and there was a recipe for them.
Just thought I would tell you about it.
I’ve made these with mozzarella string cheese cut into small bite size pieces for my kids. I’ll have to try your idea for my bigger kids (including hubby)!
Yummy! My toddler loves cheese, so hopefully this is a way to get him to also eat the meatballs. Bet you could also do these in the slowcooker?
Holey moley – those look GOOD!
food is so much better when it is stuffed with something. you are the queen of making food better!
Mmmm.. looks amazing! I’ve never seen the mozzarella cheese balls before, I’ll check whole foods tomorrow.
I love this idea! Cheese makes anything better – especially if it’s hidden inside ;).
stuffing meatballs sounds like a great idea to me.
I made these last night for supper, but didn’t have mozzarella balls, so I cut up some pieces of string cheese (I know, right?) and used that…along with a few other modifications to make them to my family’s taste. They were AWESOME! Thanks for the great recipe!
You are queen of stuffed! Another recipe to put on the list to try after my next shopping trip. Thank you for sharing and for the inspiration!
This looks SO good to me that I literally was telling my husband about this as we enjoyed a delicious bowl of Jambalaya with Andouille Sausage with Shrimp that I made for Fat Tuesday…made it a day early so I could blog it LOL. Anyway, when we get off this healthy kick (made a lighter jambalaya but omg so good)…I am MAKING THESE!
These look great! Saw a Chef last night on Iron Chef America make a version of these(mozzarella was the secret ingredient). Looking forward to trying these balls.
What a great idea, yum!
I love those mozzarella balls, and putting them inside meatballs is just genius!
My husband would LOVE these!
I just saw this post and screamed to my husband in the other room about how excited I am to try these. What a great idea! Thank you for sharing!
It’s always a pleasure to hear from someone with expresite.
Wow, I am so glad my husband doesn’t read food blogs (besides mine of course)…because he would seriously be dying for these right now…and then I, Mrs. Pregnant-with-no-will-power would end up eating them all. We’ll have to make these for an upcoming party–yum!!
These look delish!
Oh wow! I’m not even a big meatball fan, but these look amazing. And my husband would be so happy if I made these, so I am definitely bookmarking this page!
