Mozzarella Stuffed Homemade Meatballs
Bringing more delicious dinner ideas your way! Anyone else think they could eat these meatballs everyday next week and be completely happy?! Heaven knows my family could and practically did last week, lol! My boys devoured these gorgeous beef balls and are very sad they are gone now.
I’ve created a simple homemade meatball that is stuffed with those gorgeous marinated Mozzarella balls you’ll find in the refrigerated section of your grocery store by the fresh Mozzarella. They are a bit on the pricey side, but worth every single penny according to my family 🙂
Hope you enjoy! On another note, did anyone see Adjustment Bureau over the weekend?! We loved it! I couldn’t be more thrilled that my sister and her family are visiting from AZ! We are off to Disney today, let’s hope the weather cooperates with us!
Here’s your line up 🙂
Little Mozzarella balls straight from heaven, love these blasted things.

can these be frozen after cooking them?
The recipe lists 2 tbsp. olive oil. Where does that come in?
Hey! Just letting you know I saw you recipe and pictures on this website with your logo cut off 🙁

wheres the mozzarella in the ingredients?
This was so helpful and great. Turned out wonderful
Absolutely AMAZING! The meatball itself is moist yet stays together perfectly. I used shredded mozzarella instead and it worked just as well. YUM!
Loved the recipe and the presentation of it. (I’m a picture girl myself.) Thanks for that! 🙂
Has anyone tried these with ground Italian Sausage? I’m thinking it would be delish!

OMG I made these on Saturday and loved loved loved them. I even gave a couple to my landlord who asked for the recipe. they are very easy to make and did I mention delicious.
These were delicious, remember to let them cool for a little while first though, especially if you’re serving them for children, the molten cheese in the middle does stay really really hot.
Making this on Monday for my clients and I cannot wait to try them. Yea!!!
I am thinking of doing these as an appetizer and putting them in a crockpot tossed with some marinara sauce. What do you think?
Yummmmm ! I’m about to lick my screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow! it looks delicious. Meatball + cheese melted inside your mouth..hmm..
Jenny, do you think that these will freeze? I have frozen meatballs before but never meatballs stuffed with cheese. I am concerned about what may happen with the cheese upon thawing to eat later. I am expecting a little boy in a few weeks and am cooking and freezing like crazy right now– this seems like a great thing to cook in advance and have on hand in the freezer. Please let me know what you think of freezing them. Thank you!
Looks amazing – can’t wait to try it, but why does it call for yellow mustard? Sounds like a strange ingredient for Italian meatballs over spaghetti.
I made these last night with ground pork, and they turned out delicious. My husband was super surprised, and he loved them! Thank you for the recipe!
Just made these for the 3rd time and they were so good. My kids did not want cheese inside (this time) so I left it out and they were gobbled up. Thanks for the delicious recipes!
I tried the Mozzarella Meatball recipe last night, and it was great! My whole family of picky eaters enjoyed it! Thank You!
Mine are baking right now and smell delicious. I used ground turkey and mozzarella string cheese cut up. My only issue so far is that I wanted to turn them halfway thru the baking, so they’d be browned all over, but they were sticking to pan. I oiled it, but didn’t seem to be enough. I left them as is because I didn’t want them to fall apart.
Just wanted to follow up– they didnt fall apart at all once they were baked through. Took 25 min. in my oven. Really moist and had a nice flavor. Hubby and kids loved them. Thanks for the yummy recipe. It’s a keeper.
I’m trying out your recipe tonight while I have guests, but I’ve made a few minor changes others might want to try to vary it up randomly.
I’m using Provel cheese instead of mozarella. It’s a St Louis specialy cheese that was created in the quest for the perfect pizza and pasta cheese… Seriously, you have not had pizza or pasta done right until you use this cheese. Epic on salads too! (Silly new york and chicago thinking they’ve had real pizza without ever using Provel. I feel bad for them.)
I’m also using oregano, thyme, and some other italian seasonings with the meatballs instead of tobasco and mustard. Everything else is pretty much the same as your recipe though.
Can these be made in bulk and frozen/reheated?
I absolutely can not wait to try your stuffed meatballs for my submarine sandwiches. The extra work of placing the cheese inside the meatballs takes the frustration out of melting it over the sandwiches and not burning it later on. Thank you! Can’t wait to try these!
Where do you get the little mozzarella balls?? I looked everywhere but I couldn’t find any.
Hi Jenny,
I made these for my family and WOW!! They were a hit! So flavorful!! This will for sure be a keeper in my family. Thanks!!
I made these and they were awesome! Big hit in our house!! Love your recipes! They haven’t failed me yet!:)
This is delish. I live in a small town with a small grocery store and they don’t carry the mozzarella balls. I bought mozzarella string cheese and cut them into pieces. I worked great. We used them in club rolls with marinara sauce. My husband had the rest of the meatballs for his breakfast this morning. 🙂
Hí! This looks delicious!
Do you have an alternative for the mozzarella balls?? I can only seen to find the mozzarella sticks!
I used mozzarella string cheese and cut them in small chunks. They were great!
I just made these today, and they were fantastic! 🙂
This looks AMAZING! Thanks for sharing such a wonderful dish. I loved it so much that I featured it on my blog in a recipe round-up. You can check it out at http://www.recipelionblog.com/quick-easy-top-5-ground-beef-recipes/.

i love your food it is a verry cool idea..
very cool recipe:)
I am 19 years old and I was wondering how old I had to be to gamble at the del mar horse track? I thought it was 18 but im not exactly sure if its 18 or 21?
This is in San Diego, California by the way(:
Thanks!
I’m trying them right now! Wish me luck. I didn’t really add so much garlic and onion cause I suck at chopping and dicing and all that jazz! but we’ll see how they turn out!
Mary
