Hi everyone! I am in the VERY beginning stages of working with a wonderful cookbook agent to start the Picky Palate Cookbook process and I’d love some feedback from you guys! (did I mention I am so excited about this?!)
Since you guys are so important to Picky Palate, I would LOVE to know what you would like to see in my future cookbook!
Please leave a comment and tell me which of the following would be most appealing to you for the Picky Palate Cookbook:
1. Dessert recipes only
2. Quick and easy dinner recipes only
3. Desserts, simple dinners, sides and appetizer recipes
4. other ideas/feedback?
THANK YOU so much in advance for your feedback. I am really excited about starting this cookbook journey!
Oh and as a thank you for helping me, I will be giving away 4 beautiful Better Homes and Garden Cookbooks to 4 Picky Palate readers. I’ll have random.org select 4 of you that are kind enough to leave a comment and you’ll receive this beautiful cookbook wrapped with a wooden spoon! Makes a great gift 🙂
The giveaway portion of this post will end Friday November 5th.
Thanks again, looking forward to your feedback!

I’m looking for quick and healthy snacks right now. Otherwise a balanced option #3 would be most appealing.
Definitely choice 3!
Hmm, I would say just do 1 – then you could pitch to have another cookbook for your savory ideas! 😉
Desserts, please! 🙂 That’s my vote! I made your rainbow cupcakes last night for my niece’s birthday party…FABULOUS!!
I vote for 3. My favorite cookbooks have a combination of all types of recipes.
I would have to say #3, Desserts, simple dinners, sides and appetizer recipes. However, your desserts are amazing so maybe a bit more of those recipes than the others 🙂 p.s. I really hope you include the “Motherload Cookie Bar” recipe!!
I vote only desserts. Lots of the ingredients you use – my kids/husbands wouldn’t eat – but the desserts that’s a different story. And lately with the economy – I think people are “treating” themselves more – and are more likely to buy dessert type books than a combo.
That’s awesome! Congratulations! I say #3! Whatever you end up doing will be fin by me! I’ll buy it no matter what recipes you choose!
I’d love all three!
I would like to see #3!! Congrats Jenny!!!
I say #3! I want it all!
Desserts, simple dinners, sides and appetizer recipes (#3). The best of all worlds and you’re great at all of them so why not?
I’m excited for you. What a fun adventure!!
I would definitely say #3 because it’s the most bang for your buck, an all around type cookbook. But then again you COULD just test the waters with your desserts only book then at a later date bring out the dinner cookbook. That way we get more of each category instead of just a few of your favorites.
Either way, I’d get one 🙂
I am torn between 1 and 3! I make the chicken soup all the time and I’ve tried a few other dinner recipes, so I would hate for these not to make it in! I think I like the idea of appetizers, dinners, and desserts – just heavier on the desserts!
I like #3 the best, but I do think that you would make a fabulous “Desserts Only” cookbook. Good luck in your process. How fun!
Hi
I think the cook book is a genius idea! I love your recipes and always find them so easy to follow and delicious! I would vote for #3- because you have so many great foods that I wouldn’t want to miss any of them.
After the first one–and yes it will be a hit therefore you will have to do more books- then do a book on each of the categories. desserts first!
thanks for always having something new!
julie
I would say #3…but any cookbook is a good cookbook 🙂
I think you are a desserts person only!
#3: Everyone needs a little help making dinner for Picky Palate’s!!!
Also, please include loooooots of pictures! Pictures MAKE the cookbook!
Yay! I can’t wait for the book! I definitely say option #3! I love ALL your recipes.
There are so many cookbooks out there that encompass all different types of courses and cuisines. I RARELY buy those because they’re all pretty much the same. I like cookbooks that specialize in one area and do it really well! You have such great dinner recipes, but it seems like the stars of the show tend to be your desserts! All that said, my vote is for #1!!
I’d say #3. I love your dinner recipes, but the deserts are to die for!
I like variety, #3. You are pretty much the Queen of Desserts, so maybe #1 could be your second book! 🙂
I vote for option 3.. cover a little bit of everything.
How cool is this, your own cookbook! I fear that we won’t be much help thought because we love all your recipes but being a cookbook lover myself, I would vote for the third (3) option so I could have a variety of recipes at my fingertips.
#3! I would love a little bit of everything in there.
I would love a desserts only book. Your desserts have become some of my “go to” recipes.
I would love to see it all…so my suggestion goes for #3. So excited for your newest adventure!
I would like it all, desserts, dinners, sides, etc. I don’t tend to buy specific cookbooks that only have one thing in them. Unlike my husband who owned a 365 ways to cook ground beef cookbook when we got married…
I love them all, especially easy dinners and desserts.
I like option number 3! I like a lot of your simple dinners, LOVE a couple of your side dishes (always use the roll recipe and love the mashed potatoes) and the desserts are so yummy! I would love a good combination!
I would like a cookbook of simple recipes so would that be all three.
Definitely #1! Your desserts are AMAZING and they are always a hit when I make them. They are always what I go to first when searching your site!
Good luck! I’m so excited for you!
I think it’s nice to have the whole cookbook, appetizers, quick dinners, sides, and desserts….but… you make some awesome desserts! maybe something having to do with certain holidays?
I vote number 3 too! But PLEASE do lots and lots of pictures. I only buy cookbooks with pictures. I like one of every recipe. Nutritional info is great too.
