Im not a mother but would love to make my mother her favorite dessert; a cheesecake recipe that’s been passed down from my great grandmother. My mother and I make it together on holidays like Christnas, etc πŸ™‚ so delicious but the process of sharing those memories together is even sweeter!

  21. Larissa

I would have a chocolate cake baked from scratch in this amazing raspberry ice mixer, with ganache filling and fluffy chocolate frosting with some super ripe strawberries on top. And maybe a dollop of real whipped cream on top to cut the chocolate ever so slightly.

Unfortunately, I am hosting Mother’s Day at my house. My mom is bringing some brownies and I will be making other desserts with the help of my 8 yr old daughter. Maybe strawberry pretzel “salad” in jars…or brown butter pound cake…and maybe chocolate chip cookies in muffin top pan…I can’t decide. I want to make it all…too bad I only have one mixer and a crappy blender.

    Happy Mother’s Day to everyone!

Raspberry cream Cake!!! My kitchen would be the happiest place ever with one of these beautiful pink accessories!!!

  115. Patti Bartlett Drake

My favorite dessert was when I stopped with my Grandparents at a diner in Arkansas almost 30 years ago. The lady at the diner had made a pumpkin cheesecake. It was a layer of pumpkin with a layer of cheesecake, it was delicious. I have never found another like it, my Mom-mom was in heaven. The second best recipe I have ever found is a white chocolate pumpkin cheesecake recipe that I found on Regis and Kelly’s website after they had made it on their show!! Happy Mother’s Day!

My sweet, wonderful daughters (9 & 6) made a no-bake Jello Cherry cheesecake for Valentine’s Day for me and their dad, but no-bake just isn’t the same even if it is made by two adorable little girls! πŸ˜‰ Would love to wind these! I blew my Rival Stand Mixer out at Christmas mixing up a batch of White Chocolate Cranberry Fudge and we blew the blender out last summer making smoothies! That was to be expected though, we got that for a wedding present and it’ll be 10 years in June, so it has lived a good long life! Thanks Jenny!

  144. Any Mother’s Day Dessert? Ohh boy… I don’t know! I’m trying to come up with a good one to make my mom, I was thinking a Passion Fruit Curd trifle, but she much prefers chocolate… so I might have to do something with that instead.

I love a good lemon square though–my future kids will know anything citrus would be my Mother’s Day pick πŸ™‚

  145. Celia Machado

    Hi Jenny,
    I follow you from Portugal.
Unfortunately I am not with my mother this year for mother’s day… If I could be close to her, I would, absolutely, rather eat one of her favourite desserts than one of mine.
She loves β€œchinfon chocolate cake” (Bolo Chinfon de Chocolate) and tree layers pudding (Pudim de 3 Camadas).
Well… thinking about it, I wouldn’t be doing such a big sacrifice, would I?
Love you mom, thanks for teaching me the value of cooking!
And thank you so very much Picky Palate, for bringing more creativity and inspiration into my food.
    Celia Machado.
