What You’ll Need

One of the best things about this simple corn on the cob recipe is you only need a few ingredients. See my recipe card at the bottom of the post for full instructions.

  • corn on the cob– You can get corn that already has the husks removed like I have in the photo, or remove the husks yourself. Make sure to remove silks before starting recipe.
  • extra virgin olive oil– The olive oil is brushed over all sides of corn to give that beautiful golden color when cooked in the air fryer.
  • salt- I use kosher salt to sprinkle over the corn before cooking.
  • pepper– For best tasting results, use freshly ground black pepper.

How To Make Air Fryer Corn on the Cob

Prepare The Corn. Make sure your corn has silks removed.

Oil and Seasonings. Brush all sides of corn with olive oil or even avocado oil. I use a pastry brush. You can also use your hands. Season corn with salt and pepper.

Add Corn To Air Fryer. Place seasoned corn into the basket of air fryer.

Cook. Cook corn at 400 degrees F. for 10-11 minutes, until corn is slightly golden. Use long tongs to remove corn and transfer to a serving plate. Top with pads of butter and garnish with chopped fresh cilantro or parsley if desired.

Recipe Tips For Success

  • Use Fresh Corn. For best tasting results use fresh corn. I like to get the cobs that already have the husks and silks removed. Saves some time.
  • Don’t skip the oil. Make sure you brush the corn with oil to give that gorgeous caramelization golden color on the kernels. I’ve used avocado oil as well.
  • Don’t Over Fill Basket. When cooking corn on the cob in air fryer, place the cobs in a single layer, not over stuffing the basket.

Can You Air Fry Frozen Corn?

Yes! If you’d like to air fry frozen corn, you can either thaw the corn before cooking or just place the frozen corn on the cob right in the air fryer using the same cooking instructions adding 2-3 minutes of cook time.

Recipe Variations

  • Try New Seasonings. For new variations, try new seasonings on the corn. Garlic salt, paprika and tajin are some of my favorites. Fresh lime juice is a perfect addition as well.
  • Use Corn For More Recipes. Many times I’ll make this corn on the cob to use in other recipes. I cut the kernels off of the cob and use the kernels for my creamed corn recipe and endless summer salads.

Storage Instructions

  • Refrigerate. Place leftover corn on the cob in an airtight zip top bag or container for up to 4 days.
  • Freezer Instructions. To freeze leftover corn, place corn in an airtight zip top bag or container and freeze up to 3 months.
  • Reheating Instructions. To reheat refrigerated or frozen corn, cook in air fryer at 400 degrees F. for 5 minutes if refrigerated and 7-8 minutes if frozen.
