Broccoli & Cheese Quesadilla
I am thrilled to share my new quick fix weeknight quesadilla with you today. I know how stressful it is trying to decide what to make for dinner each week when you’ve got a zillion other things to do with your family.

As a child, my mom always prepared our quesadillas on the stovetop so I’ve continued that tradition in our home. You don’t have to heat up the oven and it literally takes a couple minutes each side to cook. I love how crispy it turns out too!
Fold your tortilla over the filled half and let cook on both sides until golden brown and crisp.
Green Giant™ Valley Fresh Steamers come in a variety of of seasoned, sauced or blended vegetables. I love that I can add them so simply to many of my dinners and make a completely new recipe.
How fun are these quesadillas? Broccoli and cheese are a match made in heaven, I love them together in this quesadilla. Before, I would just whip up a quick cheese quesadilla for the boys and now by adding some Tuscan seasoned broccoli florets, I’ve got a gorgeous new dinner idea. Hope you enjoy!
Tuscan Broccoli and Cheese Quesadilla
- 11 ounce bag Frozen Tuscan Broccoli Seasoned Steamers
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
- 4 burrito size tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Heat Tuscan Broccoli Seasoned Steamers according to package direction. Open bag carefully and with kitchen shears, cut broccoli into smaller pieces to fit inside quesadilla.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Spread butter on one side of each tortilla. Using one tortilla at a time, place buttered side down into skillet. Place 1/4 cup shredded cheese onto one half of tortilla then an even layer of Tuscan Broccoli. Top with another 1/4 cup shredded cheese and with a spatula fold tortilla over filling. Cook until both sides are golden brown and cheese is hot and melted.
- Cut each tortilla in half and serve warm.
I appreciate this recipe so much. our family is into everything quesadilla from breakfast to dessert. I cannot wait to grab a rotisserie chicken, tear some off, add to the broccoli and cheese to make a delicious dinner! Thanks so much!
It’s lovely reading about people’s experiences of our local food and the creative twists they put on them too.
We’ve just published a page on our website all about the bistecca fiorentina, which is one of our cities most prized cuts of meat. I am sure your readers will enjoy this.

Thanks a bunch for such a creative recipe. My picky 3 year old finished it in no time, and she fed herself (which is a bit rare)!!

Thank you so much. I was going to use the broccoli I had for something else, but was bored with the same old same old. Thanks for this wonderful idea. I may add some ingredients to it and send it to you if you like.
I have been losing weight for a year now by refurbishing recipes since diet recipes are so boring and bland, I tend to add a lot of herbs to help those who need to get healthy and lose a significant amount of weight without getting bored of the same old food

Great recipe! Adding broccoli to quesadillas … amazing!
My whole family loves broccoli, especially when it’s paired with melty cheese! Pinned for dinner later this coming week:)

Love this for a quick lunch! The Tuscan broccoli sounds perfect.
This is a great and easy recipe..on my list to make. Thank you! Easy to add chicken or beans too and get even more protein. My elderly parents have a wonky oven….I usually go and stay with them for extended periods of time to help them out…while there I have to get very creative and prepare most of our dinners on top of the stove. I make quesadillas a lot…this is a great recipe for that.
My kids would love this one! Hope you are doing well!!
Wow, these look incredible! love all things cheesy 🙂
Looks like a great way to work in some veggies for the kiddos, too! I love broccoli so much, actually! I’d love these 🙂 Pinned
