What Is The Difference of a Blondie and Brownie?
Blondies and brownies have a few things in common. Both have eggs, flour, sugar and butter in their list of ingredients. They also both have a fudgy texture and are generally cut into bars.
They can can have “add ins” to the ingredients list, such as chopped nuts, chocolate chips, candies etc.
The whole texture of blondies and brownies falls somewhere in between a cookie and a cake.
The color Differences
When you look at a tray of the two bars, blondies are lighter in color than brownies.
There we go! Ready for the oven.
Tips For Making The BEST Blondies
- Melt butter and add brown sugar while the butter is still warm. Make sure to cool this mixture. Let other ingredients, particularly eggs, come up to room temperature before you add them. You don’t want to add your eggs to hot butter and sugar or you’ll risk scrambling the eggs. Don’t overmix blondies; mix by hand instead of mixer for best results.

I heard first about white chocolate peanut better like to taste of it.
I made the White Chocolate, Peanut Butter M and M Blondies a week ago for a group meeting and it turned out to be a disappointment. The blondies baked slightly longer than the 35 minute maximum time, and was very soft to the touch & eyesight. It juggled like Jell-o in the center, and it sank as I took it out of the oven.
Ileft it at home & I’ve been chipping away at it bit by bit for the past week now. Refrigeration keeps it fresh & it’s tasting better each day. It’s almost finished, and although it was a disappointment, I will make it again, but next time make some alterations to lengthen the bake time so it will look like the blondies in the picture. I don’t know if or where I went wrong with the recipe, but I will definitely be making this again, with adjustments.
