First of all, even though I’m from the Krispy Kreme Kapital, I prefer Dunkin’ Donuts. I forgive them for not making my absolute favorite doughnut any more, but I’d sing their praises even more if they’d bring it back. It’s a glazed chocolate cake doughnut with a chocolate frosting. I think what they offer now is just plain chocolate cake with the chocolate frosting. You wouldn’t think a simple glaze would make such a difference, but it does.
My favorite donuts are the old-fashoined. Not too sweet. Dense. And oh so very good!!
I love chocolate cake donuts covered in chocolate frosting…. Dunford Bakery in Utah makes the best!

Hands down….my favorite donuts are maple frosted donuts. I love them all year round, but even more so in the fall and winter!
