What exciting news to find Ragú® Old World Style® Traditional Pasta Sauce now has two servings of veggies in every half cup.
We are massive pasta eaters in the Picky Palate house, so I was thrilled to try Ragu’s new pasta sauce with all the extra veggies packed in.
I found that the new formulation doesn’t actually have any different ingredients than the old formula. They’ve just packed more veggies into the formula to get to 2 servings of veggies per half cup (vs. 1 serving per half cup). The taste is the same great taste and they want to assure moms that the sauce they’re used to and have been feeding their families for years hasn’t changed.
We tried the Skillet Pasta and Beef Dinner with our new veggie packed Ragu and the kids went nuts for it. Before I added the sauce, I made sure I tried a spoon of each (the old and the new) and I enjoyed the chunkiness of the new sauce because I knew it was packed with lots of vegetables!
The dinner was a huge success and it literally took minutes to prepare. I love pulling out quick and simple recipes during the busy school week and that is exactly what Ragu helps us with. A great pasta sauce packed with lots of vegetables. Mom is happy and the kids are happy!

I don’t have a specific pasta recipe but I love making cheese ravioli if I get fancy or manicotti 🙂
My husband loves a recipe I created called Weeknight Lasagna. We love lasagna, but it can be a time consuming process. For those weeknights, when we have a craving that just cannot wait this is my go to recipe! Brown 1 pound ground beef. Drain. Cook 1 pound ziti or rotini according to package directions. Combine pasta, large jar of spaghetti sauce, 8 oz. cottage cheese, 1 cup shredded mozzarella and 1/4 cup grated parmesan. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 baking dish and top with several slices of mozzarella. Bake at 350-400 for about 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly! YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!
spaghetti and garlic bread of course
I tweeted about the giveaway.

My favorite pasta recipe is baked macaroni and cheese. My grandma and my mom both made it for us as kids, and now I make it whenever I go home for my little sister. Classic comfort food that I love 🙂
My favorite pasta dish is my Mom’s spaghetti! The spaghetti is loaded grilled zucchini, squash, and shitake mushrooms, with of course lots of Ragu sauce. We only buy Ragu!! I’d love to win so my mom could make me some for supper!!! Yumo!!
I love arrabiatta sauce. The spice+garlic = heaven! 😀
Chicken alfredo….just sautee the chicken, open up the sauce and boil the pasta. Done 🙂
I like to do an easy baked ziti, yummy! Oh and I LOVE the extra veggies in the sauce, perfect for picky kids like my 3.5 year old.
I absolutely love making an easy vodka sauce by combining pre-made alfredo with pre-made marinara. Mix it with some spinach, whole wheat noodles and turkey sausage and you’ve got an easy meal!

I love to make meatballs and freeze them and then toss them in a pan and voila–pour some Ragu over them and you have dinner with Spaghetti! 🙂
I like to throw a couple chicken breasts (fresh or frozen) into the crockpot with a jar of sauce. Add some extra veggies and spices and cook all day, voila! dinner!
