What exciting news to find Ragú® Old World Style® Traditional Pasta Sauce now has two servings of veggies in every half cup.
We are massive pasta eaters in the Picky Palate house, so I was thrilled to try Ragu’s new pasta sauce with all the extra veggies packed in.
I found that the new formulation doesn’t actually have any different ingredients than the old formula. They’ve just packed more veggies into the formula to get to 2 servings of veggies per half cup (vs. 1 serving per half cup). The taste is the same great taste and they want to assure moms that the sauce they’re used to and have been feeding their families for years hasn’t changed.
We tried the Skillet Pasta and Beef Dinner with our new veggie packed Ragu and the kids went nuts for it. Before I added the sauce, I made sure I tried a spoon of each (the old and the new) and I enjoyed the chunkiness of the new sauce because I knew it was packed with lots of vegetables!
The dinner was a huge success and it literally took minutes to prepare. I love pulling out quick and simple recipes during the busy school week and that is exactly what Ragu helps us with. A great pasta sauce packed with lots of vegetables. Mom is happy and the kids are happy!

Really simple…browned hamburger, diced onions and mushrooms, covered with Ragu sauce thrown over whatever pasta we choose! Thanks

Frozen cheese tortillini with warmed sauce is one of our favs. Delicious and super easy!
We have a homemade family spaghetti recipe that I learned to make when I was 7. I can make it with my eyes closed. It’s definitely the go to meal.
I just go for basic pasta and sauce topped parmesan. I have fun with the pasta and opt for spinach flavored or for fun shapes. My daughter likes alphabet pasta and sauce.

Spaghetti with meatsauce is a big hit when we’re in a hurry!
Mmmm I love spaghetti and meat sauce (with garlic bread of course!), but I like to make a big pot of sauce and then freeze it in individual (meal-size) containers. Makes for a super quick meal, just pull out one container of sauce and cook some noodles!
My daughter loves spaghetti, sauce, and mushrooms.
Chicken Alfredo…it can be really easy to put together if you have cooked chicken in the freezer. 🙂
Penne pasta with ragu alfredo!
Different shape pasta to excite the kids with our favorite Ragu sauce and lots of cheese!

I like making Ziti, super easy. Pasta noodles, Pasta Sauce, and Cheese, that’s my kinda dinner, quick to the point and tasty! 😉
A favorite at our house is Cheater’s lasagna, super easy and very yummy!
I love to make lasagna in a bowl… throw all the ingredients together, heat through, make sure the cheese melts and voila – yum!
I make a really simple chicken parmesan! It’s delish!
I take a little sauce on the plate, top it withy cooked chicken breast, top it with some cooked spinach, and pour some sauce on top of that and sprinkle with parmesian…easy to have all those items ready in advance too!
My kids won’t eat spaghetti, but if I use a different noodle like farfalle or penne, it is somehow better! I usually add some grated veggies (carrots and zucchini)and a dash of balsamic vinegar to a jar of Ragu!
Our favorite weeknight pasta recipe is fresh ravioli from the local market- spinach, sundried tomato and cheese makes everyone happy!
Along with so many other readers I love a quick spaghetti and meatballs. Super yum!!!
