Spicy Sweet Green Beans Recipe

Have you had really good green beans yet?  Sounds like a funny question right?  If you haven’t given green beans a fair chance yet, it’s time….with this simple and full of flavor recipe I whipped up!

I used the same ingredients as I did for my Spicy Honey Chicken in THIS recipe.

Add this recipe to your menu soon.  Such a great side dish!  Enjoy 🙂

Spicy Sweet Green Beans

I found this giant bag of green beans from Costco.  You can find smaller packages at the regular grocery store.

Spicy Sweet Green Beans Recipe

Place 1 pound of green beans into a large skillet with a few drizzles of olive oil.

Add a pinch of salt and pepper.

These two simple flavors make a heck of a glaze.  Do it. Try it 🙂

A few drizzles of your favorite brand of honey.

A tablespoon or so of Frank’s Hot Sauce.  You can add a little more to make it spicier.

Top with a few sliced almonds if you’d like.

Spicy Sweet Green Beans Recipe

Spicy Sweet Green BeansPrep time: 5 min | Cook time: 15 min | Total time: 20 min

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pound green beans
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Wings Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Directions

  1. Place oil into large skillet over medium heat. Add green beans, salt and pepper, stirring to combine. Cook and stir for 7-10 minutes, until softened. Stir in Frank’s and honey until combined. Serve hot.

Makes 4-6 Servings

    As a Buffalo gal, I’m so excited you used Frank’s Red Hot Sauce! My husband puts it on his morning cereal, he thinks it’s that good! And I’ve read that green beans are one of the top foods for diabetics! Yay. As the Home Depot commercials say, “let’s do this”

    I made this tonight and OMG was it good! We even used the leftover sauce to dunk our chicken in! I cut the reipe in half since it’s just me & hubby eating the veggies. Hubby was mad that we ran out lol!
