Banana Bread Recipe Ingredients

Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make low carb banana bread at home. See the recipe card located at the bottom of the page for full details and instructions.

  • Over Ripe Bananas– Bananas should be black spotted for best results.
  • Large Eggs– For consistency, I use large eggs for cooking and baking.
  • Pure Vanilla Extract- Use pure vanilla for best tasting results.
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil– olive oil is used in the banana bread as part of the wet ingredients.
  • Super Fine Almond Flour– Bob’s Red Mill is what I prefer.
  • sugar substitute– I use Lakanta Monkfruit Sweetener, with Erythritol
  • baking soda– Baking soda helps the bread rise during baking.
  • kosher salt– Kosher salt is a coarse salt commonly used in cooking and baking.
  • ground cinnamon– Cinnamon adds the perfect spice to banana bread.
  • Lily’s Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Chips– Many grocery stores carry the Lily’s sugar free chips.

I made this, but! Doubled the recipe in one loaf pan for a bigger banana bread loaf. I mean I had to cook it for an hour & 10 minutes. So I suggest if you want to do it like this then do it early in the day. It turned out amazing. I made two loafs🤤 I’ll definitely be doing this again.

I used a bread loaf pan and after 35 minutes it was not cooked in the middle. I have a gas oven.
