Banana Bread Recipe Ingredients
- over ripe bananas– Bananas should be black spotted for best results.
- large eggs– For consistency, I use large eggs for cooking and baking.
- pure vanilla extract- Use pure vanilla for best tasting results.
- extra virgin olive oil– olive oil is used in the banana bread as part of the wet ingredients.
- super fine almond flour– Bob’s Red Mill is what I prefer.
- sugar substitute– I use Lakanta Monkfruit Sweetener, with Erythritol
- baking soda– Baking soda helps the bread rise during baking.
- kosher salt– Kosher salt is a coarse salt commonly used in cooking and baking.
- ground cinnamon– Cinnamon adds the perfect spice to banana bread.
- Lily’s Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Chips– Many grocery stores carry the Lily’s sugar free chips.
How To Make Keto Banana Bread
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and spray a regular loaf pan with non stick cooking spray.
- Place mashed bananas, eggs, erythritol, vanilla and olive oil into a large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined. Add almond flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and chocolate chips. Stir to combine. Transfer batter to prepared loaf pan and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until baked through. Use a toothpick to check center of bread for doneness. Remove from oven. Use a knife to loosen edges. Let cool for 30 minutes before cutting into slices.
Can I Substitute The Almond Flour?
I haven’t tested this recipe with anything other than Bob’s Red Mill Super Fine Almond Flour, so I wouldn’t recommend substituting.
Stir batter until just combined being careful not to over mix.
Transfer batter to loaf pan and sprinkle top with sugar substitute and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30-35 minutes, until baked through.
Let bread cool completely, remove from loaf pan and cut into slices.
How To Serve Keto Banana Bread
Serve bread room temperature or warmed. It’s also delicious chilled in the refrigerator. Spread with butter or eat as is.
Can I freeze Low Carb Banana Bread
Once bread has completely cooled, store any leftover slices in an airtight container. Freeze for 3-4 months. Thaw to room temperature before serving.

I made this, but! Doubled the recipe in one loaf pan for a bigger banana bread loaf. I mean I had to cook it for an hour & 10 minutes. So I suggest if you want to do it like this then do it early in the day. It turned out amazing. I made two loafs🤤 I’ll definitely be doing this again.
I used a bread loaf pan and after 35 minutes it was not cooked in the middle. I have a gas oven.
Hello! I am very much looking forward to this! Can you use coconut oil instead of olive oil??
I think that substitution would work just fine.
Looks so good I can’t wait to try making this!
