What You’ll Need
Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make this refrigerated biscuit recipe at home. See the recipe card located at the bottom of the post for full details.
- Butter– I use salted butter for my recipes, unsalted works just fine too.
- Refrigerated Biscuit Dough– Find refrigerated biscuit dough in the refrigerated section of the grocery store near the pre-made cookie dough. Pillsbury is a brand that makes both.
- Fresh Mozzarella– Fresh mozzarella is delicious in the recipe, find it near the cheese section of the grocery store.
- Cooked Crumbled Bacon– You can use ready bacon that you can microwave or you can brown your own bacon. Let it cool and crumble the bacon.
- Shredded Cheese– I like to use mild cheddar, use your favorite cheddar cheese.
How To Make Cheesy Bacon Refrigerated Biscuits
Preheat Oven and Prepare Cast Iron Skillet. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and brush a 9 inch cast iron skillet with melted butter.
Place Biscuits Into Skillet. Unroll Biscuits from can and place into bottom of skillet.
Top Biscuits With Cheese, Bacon and Cheddar. Top with slices of mozzarella cheese, bacon crumbles, then shredded cheddar.
Bake. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and biscuits and cooked through. Serve warm.
Recipe Tips For Success
Use Good Cheeses. Fresh mozzarella cheese adds a delicious flavor to the biscuits. If you can find fresh mozzarella, it makes a great addition.
Use A Cast Iron Skillet. I love using a cast iron skillet for making this biscuit recipe. It adds a nice crisp to the bottom and looks great when serving.
How To Serve
Serve biscuits warm as a side to your favorite meal, or just serve them alone. They’re great dipped in marinara sauce, Ranch Dressing, to name a couple.
Storage Instructions
Store leftover biscuits in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
Reheating Instructions
To reheat biscuits, place in an air fryer basket at 350 degrees for 2-3 minutes, or until hot and crisp.

Gosh these look amazing! I’m also all over anything with cheese and bacon. My question is therefore probably pretty funny but, regardless, does the Simply line have trans fat? The regular line does and so I don’t tend to buy it. Thanks!
Hi Christine,
No trans fats, no artificial flavors/colors or high fructose corn syrup. I am a huge fan of their new line!
From the pictures, it appears as if you topped them with cheddar cheese. Can you please clarify? Thank you!!
