These Gooey White Chocolate Fluffernutter Cake Bars are a sweet and delicious dessert bar filled with peanut butter, gooey marshmallow and white chocolate. They’re terrific!
White Chocolate Fluffernutter Gooey Bars
Ahhh, summer is officially here which means more fun time to cook with the kids. My Gooey cake bars are so simple (not to mention ridiculously delish) and the kids absolutely love to get their hands dirty to help with this one.
My favorite part about these bars is the gooey fluffernutter topping, its almost caramel like consistency which makes for a perfect gooey treat. They travel well so they’re perfect for bake sales, family picnics and parties.
Whatcha waiting for, get baking! PS, if you can even believe it my kids are still in school! …no pics of them helping me until after this week, lol!
How to Make Gooey Peanut Butter Cake Bars
Line up: Yellow cake mix, egg, butter, marshmallow creme, peanut butter, sweetened condensed milk and white chocolate chips.
Add your cake mix to a large bowl.
…and a softened stick of butter.
Mix, mix and mix. You can do this with your stand mixer or use your hands to get a dough like this.
Press into a 9×13 inch baking pan. I like lining with foil so after it cools, I can pull the whole sheet out and cut into perfect little squares. Do you like my Sally Hansen sticker nails?! Lol. I like them but do not like that they only last about 4 days 🙂 Cute though!
Press evenly throughout.Time for the gooey fluffernutter topping. Place your peanut butter, marshmallow creme and sweetened condensed milk into a large bowl, mixing to combine. This is what turns caramel-like once baked. Mmmmm!Pour it over your pressed crust. Definitely lick the spoon, it’s worth it 🙂
Pour a nice bag of white chocolate chips over top and bake 350 degrees F. for 23-25 minutes. Let cool completely and….
What you’ll find are these gooey bars of deliciousness! Perfect for any occasion, Enjoy friends!

Have a great rest of your week and weekend! Come back soon 🙂
Wow these babies are rich! Almost like a soft fudge on top.
I made these last night and they were a HIT at our house! My dd (11) who doesn’t like sweet treats asked for seconds. 6 out of 6 LOVED them!! Thank you! I didn’t have a cake mix on hand (unusual for me…) so I used my go-to recipe for a yellow cake mix:
2 cups cake flour (I have used all purpose flour and it has worked)
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup vegetable shortening (I only use Crisco)
Thank you for a new favorite dessert for my family!! 🙂
These are amazing!! I love peanut butter fudge and the center of these bars tastes just like fudge.
Thank you so much for your wonderful ideas… I made this tonight, I made a couple changes (added chunky peanut butter and butterscotch chips) and it was awesome… Thanks again for all the great recipes you post, my neighbors thank you too 🙂

So glad you enjoyed the recipe Kim!!
I made these last night. The recipe was perfect and they are so, so good! I cut off the edges before making pretty squares, and am enjoying the crusts with my morning coffee.
I have these in the oven right now… I didn’t have any white chocolate chips so I substituted peanut butter chips… I hope they turn out okay.
i just made these the other day and they were awesome! thanks so much for all the great recipes 🙂
Holy cow these are good! Thanks for the simple and delicious recipe!
These were a big hit in our house! My 9 y.o. suggested that next time, we should use a chocolate cake mix and substitute Nutella for the peanut butter and see how it tastes! I think he is on to something!
Made these twice to take to 2 BBQs over 4th of July weekend and they were amazing! Your instructions were perfect and they came out looking exactly like your pics. A huge hit with young and old alike! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
So glad to hear it Tom, thanks for the great feedback!
I made these the other day and, although tasty, they did not set up well at all. I also ended up with twice as much as the recipe said I would. I am not sure if I did something wrong or if the recipe just didn’t work as planned. I’ll try again though, but maybe with a shortbread crust instead of the cake.
I am planning on making these for a BBQ on Sunday. How far in advance is it safe to make them? I was planning on doing them tonight, since I have time and I’m baking something else for tomorrow night. If I keep them air tight in the fridge uncut, will they be okay for Sunday? They need to travel in the car about two hours as well. Thanks!
Hi Jenny – I made these last weekend for a BBQ and they were a HUGE hit! Needless to say, you have many new fans 🙂 Thanks for the great recipe.
Made these last night – fantastic. I didn’t realize the PB/mallow mixture would stay so soft, so they were a little messier than I anticipated, but they were still delicious! Shared them with 2 different neighbors and got thumbs up all around!
Yum! I just made these with a few changes. I halved the recipe in a square pan (still used 1 egg). I used chocolate cake mix and chocolate chips because that’s what I had on hand. I think next time it would be good to add some PB chips, too. Thanks for the great recipe!
I’m pretty much addicted to anything that is “gooey cake bars”, but this? This is just over the top and I can’t wait to make them!
Mmmm sweetened condensed milk makes everything better. And who can pass up fluffernutter?!?
So much fun! These would be great for a 4th of July picnic!
I think I’ll be making them for 4th of July for sure! They travel nicely 🙂
Wow, these look amazing! I will definitely have to try these!
These look absolutely sinful. I’m loving it.
I love your creativity and how you turned a relatively easy recipe into something spectacular. I know you are busy but if you could, please link this to Bake with Bizzy. I know, I want to make this and I am sure, many others do, as well.

I’ll bet your kids loved these – really, what kid wouldn’t?
These look so amazingly good! Would love to try one!
Yum! I cant wait to try this. I wanted to let you know that I featured this recipe in my “What I Bookmarked This Week” post today – stop by and see.
HEAVENLY! You have outdone yourself.
My daughter loves fluffernutter sandwiches…I just made these for a pool party she is hosting this weekend. They are very yummy!!
The recipe calls for unsalted, but I think the butter shown is salted? Yes, no? Will it change the consistency or just taste?
These are so fun! Also, your sparkly nails are the cutest. 😉
Just got back from walmart, picked up the things i need. I’m resisting the urge to make these RIGHT NOW. LOL. I’m going to make them for a family reunion tomorrow. I know if i make them now, I’ll probably eat them all. LOL. Thank you! My mom and I are totally addicted to your blog! You have been our “go to gal” for great new recipes that are sure to wow a crowd!
Tamara
