If anyone asks me my favorite editing software for all of my photos, without hesitation I say Lightroom. No question. I’ve never been a photoshop gal because of the learning curve. Lightroom is so easy to use, I was so excited to learn that I figured it out in just minutes. (I am not tech savvy at all)
It sure makes my job easy as a food blogger being able to touch up my photos ever so slightly to get just what I am looking for.

There are so many before and after pictures I can show you, but this is one I did just last week when I was photographing my Double Chocolate Butterfinger Cake. We had some friends over and their dog was outside my window watching my cake, lol! I snapped a photo and as you can see on the left, it was dark and gray. With just a few touch ups from Lightroom you get the picture on the right. Love!!

Mostly I take pictures of my daughter, family and dogs. I had the trial version of lightroom and really wanted to purchase it but we have had some financial difficulties and just couldn’t. Sure would love it if I won! 🙂

My kids are my most frequent subjects. I have a nice almost 13-year-old step-daughter, an 8.5 year old, a 2year old, and a newborn. Lots of photo opportunities!

Easy…my dogs! I have three Aussies and I am taking pictures of them constantly! Gotta keep their Gramma up to date on their doggy adventures!
I love taking pictures of sunrises. Whenever the sky is red and orange in the morning, I usually hurry and get my camera.

I most often take photos of yarn and wool fiber – I started my own yarn company in 2009 and have been growing it ever since. As I sell the majority of my products online, photos are a necessity. I often wish I took better ones!
