Hi everyone! I am in the VERY beginning stages of working with a wonderful cookbook agent to start the Picky Palate Cookbook process and I’d love some feedback from you guys! (did I mention I am so excited about this?!)

Since you guys are so important to Picky Palate, I would LOVE to know what you would like to see in my future cookbook!

Please leave a comment and tell me which of the following would be most appealing to you for the Picky Palate Cookbook:

1. Dessert recipes only

2. Quick and easy dinner recipes only

3. Desserts, simple dinners, sides and appetizer recipes

4. other ideas/feedback?

THANK YOU so much in advance for your feedback. I am really excited about starting this cookbook journey!

Oh and as a thank you for helping me, I will be giving away 4 beautiful Better Homes and Garden Cookbooks to 4 Picky Palate readers. I’ll have random.org select 4 of you that are kind enough to leave a comment and you’ll receive this beautiful cookbook wrapped with a wooden spoon! Makes a great gift 🙂

The giveaway portion of this post will end Friday November 5th.

Thanks again, looking forward to your feedback!

I’m with Amanda in thinking that you should do 3 separate cookbooks but if you can only do one than I think it should be a combo of all different types of recipes! Of my goodness, I just cant wait!!!

    I would say # 3
But I think we would all love multiple cookbooks!
Pictures for each recipe please- otherwise I wont make the item without a picture ( just my opinion – that is why I love your blog for all the pictures~~~)

Quick and easy dinners. I find myself many days at 5 o’clock wondering what to cook for family of five. So quick and easy works well for me.

  4. Brooke

I would love to have ALL of it! I think a GREAT sampling of your wonderful recipes would be THE BEST! 🙂 Good luck and HOW EXCITING!!!

BTW, I just made your chicken chili recipe for a church gathering and it was a HUGE hit!! THANK YOU 😉

I would probably go with #1. I was tempted to say three, but I think I’m much more likely to Google for a quick and easy dinner recipe and use a cookbook for a good dessert. Although… I can certainly see Picky Palate Just Desserts, AND Picky Palate Quick and Easy Family Dinners being a success as TWO books!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE all your food but i make the desserts the most. I think you should do your number 3 idea but you def need to do a special dessert cook book either now or in the future. I also LOVE how you show pictures of you making it as you instruct. For me it is VERY helpful. Thanks for you amazingness and i cant wait to buy the recipe book!!

This is such exciting news! I always look forward to your posts. I love making your desserts (especially your cookies), but I plan on trying your dinner and appetizer recipes soon, so my choice is number 3. Thanks for providing such a great and inspiring blog.

I would love 2&3 Also if recipes would include freezer directions that would be fabulous, I’m always looking for stuff I can make ahead. Can wait to see what you come up with!

  9. Domanique

I would love to see them all. Everything you make is so yummy, but I could always use simple dinner recipes.

#3 the most. I love your desserts and I also really like how you cook with healthy choices like Quinoa.

I think #3 . Quick and easy dinner recipes only is the best, as all kids love desserts but its often difficult to get them to eat a good meal. All mum’s want their kids to clean their plates without complaining. BUT ideal is to have a section for each…

I would love #1 , but I am definetly up for #2 and #3 as well. I am always looking for wonderful desserts to share with the staff at my school. I love easy and fast dinners that don’t take so many ingredients that you usually don’t have on hand. I’m sure what ever you put together it will be wonderful. Have a wonderful day!

I think a little bit of your favorites from each section would be a good place to start, that way you “hook all of us” then you can publish other books with the same type of food etc. Also VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT…..when I am buying a cookbook……I NEED pictures! I have to see what the finished product looks like and I know alot of my friends are the same way! good luck! I’m looking forward to it.

I think option 3 would be wonderful! I am a dessert lover, but, I love your dinner recipes as well and have had success with all your recipes. I love all your ideas! Keep them coming : )

  15. Kara

I like a variety of all topics, and I think it would be nice to have a few from-scratch/natural recipes as well as recipes that use packaged products.

  16. Tara

Number 3 plus holiday recipes, and pictures of each!! I am loving your recent fall dessert recipes…so creative and delicious! I can’t wait to make more of them. Congratulations!!

  17. Mystica

What about a mix of main dish dinner receipes and desserts? A main dish followed by a dessert. So that they match sort of.

  18. Lauren @ Crave. Indulge. Satisfy.

#3, love all your different types of recipes from desserts to main meals..can’t wait for your cookbook it is going to be amazing! Congrats!

My vote would be for 2 &/or 3. Every recipe of yours I’ve cooked has been wonderful. Thanks for all your hard work!!!

  20. Carly

I say option 3. It would make it easy to plan a whole dinner with all those options inside. Maybe even include on the recipe pages other recipes in the book that would pair well.
