Hi everyone! I am in the VERY beginning stages of working with a wonderful cookbook agent to start the Picky Palate Cookbook process and I’d love some feedback from you guys! (did I mention I am so excited about this?!)
Since you guys are so important to Picky Palate, I would LOVE to know what you would like to see in my future cookbook!
Please leave a comment and tell me which of the following would be most appealing to you for the Picky Palate Cookbook:
1. Dessert recipes only
2. Quick and easy dinner recipes only
3. Desserts, simple dinners, sides and appetizer recipes
4. other ideas/feedback?
THANK YOU so much in advance for your feedback. I am really excited about starting this cookbook journey!
Oh and as a thank you for helping me, I will be giving away 4 beautiful Better Homes and Garden Cookbooks to 4 Picky Palate readers. I’ll have random.org select 4 of you that are kind enough to leave a comment and you’ll receive this beautiful cookbook wrapped with a wooden spoon! Makes a great gift 🙂

Welcome to my online kitchen! Picky Palate is where you’ll find family friendly recipes along with the best Disney eats, tips and copycat recipes!
I like the #3 option. I look for a little bit of everything I can use when looking for a cookbook. So something for dinner, sides, desserts and appetizers are exacty what I look for!
i love all your easy but so pretty dessert and main dish recipes..so #3 would be my choice.
I like option #3, or as a slight twist how about “from A to Dessert” meaning grouping the recipes by apps, simple dinners, sides and desserts that go together and make a complete meal.
Number 1 or 3. I would love to see the bulk of your book be deserts. I really think that is your forte. But you have lots of wonderful recipes for meals. We can’t neglect those!
I vote for #3- all of the above!! I love your stuff and want as much as I can get. =) Variety is good!
I like the idea of you best picks from 1,2,& 3.How about a section for Mom’s & kids cooking together? Thank you for all of your hard work and making yumminess for all of us to enjoy
For sure option 3! I wish I was half as creative as you. Congrats on this opportunity!
4. Cooking For Kids (Including school lunches)
Congrats….
#3…a good variety
#3 would be my choice… I like to buy cookbooks with all sorts of recipes… I’m so excited for you!!!
I would want to see #3, with lots of pictures!
I would love to see quick and easy dinner recipes. Appetizers would be great as well!
thanks for the giveaway!
I was going to say DESSERTS ONLY …. because your desserts are MOST memorable to me … but I decided to go back thru your blog and give your simple meals a fair chance … you know, see if they would get my attention … and you know what, when I looked back, THEY DID!!
So after much thought, here is my suggestion … I think you should do #3 … BUT that being said, I think the most important thing you should do, is stay true to your food blog (which has more desserts than simple meals) … yummy, ooey gooey decadent (and different) desserts … and FUN simple meals … AND YOUR SCRUMPTIOUS, MOUTHWATERING, EYE CANDY PHOTOGRAPHY … because the creative way in which you display your food is really what grabbed my attention in the first place … AND keeps me coming back for more!!!
Honestly, I would never have to bake or make anything … as long as I can look at your pics and your fun use of fonts and whimsical typography!!
Your blog is just TOTAL FUN WITH FOOD … and that’s how I like my food (mostly my desserts … but I like FUN simple meals too)!! So keep with that … and you should have the same GREAT success with your book that you have with your blog!!
Keep up the EXCELLENT job … and you should do very well with whatever you choose to do!!
I like idea 3. I love your dinners, but you have GOT to include the desserts too. You are the master dessert creator
i vote #3! best of all worlds.
The more variety the better…so # 3
I’d vote option 3!
Option 3, please! I like a little bit of everything in a cookbook. If it’s too specific or specialized, I usually don’t buy it. A broad sampling is more to my taste. Can’t wait to see the new cookbook!
I’d say #3 because while you make awesome desserts, your main dishes are great too!!
My vote is for #3…something for everyone.
I’m so happy for you, Jenny….how exciting is this? 🙂
I would use any and all of it. Maybe you should make multiple cook books. For now, maybe you should start with #3 though. Can’t wait to see the cook book!!
I think #3. I would like a little bit of everything.
Love to have a quick and easy dinner book. Your desserts are fabulous though!
SIMPLE and EASY! My biggest issue with cookbooks is that most of the stuff is too complicated and calls for ingredients that I have never heard or have to buy for only 1 tsp of it. Also make sure to include pictures!
I definitely enjoy all of your recipes, but it might be fun to have a dessert focused cookbook.
I know my Mrs. Fields dessert cookbook is one of my favorites…it will be nice to add yours to my collection!
Good luck whatever you decide 🙂
Definitely #3! Great news on the cookbook!
Love the idea of the complete package at my finger tips. Would think number 3 would be a top seller .. but then again anything you printed, would sell! Best wishes.
Option #3
I would say #3.
I would love to see a cookbook that included all three. I look at this blog whenever I’m hungry (which doesn’t tend to help things) and whenever I’m ready for a new, exciting baking adventure. A cookbook that had dinners, appetizers AND desserts would be perfect!
I love recipes and would love to see one devoted to desserts only with different sections on that topic so I choose #1. I’d love to see the different sections ranging from super simple/quick desserts all the way to the more complicated/time consuming types of desserts. Or even another section devoted to each of the major holidays with great dessert ideas for each of those different holidays.
I’d like to see #3. I like good, yummy but simple recipes that are funky takes on classics!
Good luck!
I would love a just desserts cookbook. You have so many great ones it would be hard to choose what to put in it! 🙂
Desserts only please! You rock at coming up with tasty, fun, and unique desserts!
I like #3 it’s great to have options.
I love cook books that include breakfast, lunch, dinner, sides, and sweets too.
