Don’t think for one second you’re only going to publish 1 cookbook. Start with the dinners and add in a couple desserts. And then the next book can be all you fun, festive desserts.

Wow that’s awesome! Congrats! 🙂 I think a little mix of everything in the cookbook would be good since your recipes are so creative.

Option number three, hands down. I’m always a fan of a good dessert recipe, but I would definitely benefit from various dinner and appetizer ideas as well – we frequently have casual dinners with friends. Besides, your recipes are amazing!

  4. Denise

I would like desserts and quick meals. I am not that interested in appetizer or salad recipes.

I like number three. Maybe arrange it in menu form so that I can just turn to a good sounding main dish for the evening and have the side, appetizer and dessert recipes right there too. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. ~Andy

Most of my picky eaters are children – how about a child oriented cookbook with foods that would appeal to them but that are easy to make for the Mom’s who love them?

I like the quick and easy dinner recipes, but also add sides and desserts. I also like the idea of pictures so I can see what it should look like. I think it should be in sections also. Meals in one, sides in another, and desserts in another. It’s so much easier to find what your looking for that way.

I’ve actually been thinking about this for awhile, outside the cookbook context. You call yourself “Picky Palate,” and you say you started this blog because your kids are picky, but a very very large majority of recipes you post seem to bee desserts. Of course kids will like desserts! That’s a given! I would like to see more recipes for actual food that picky kids will like.

I must admit I love your desserts and have made several of them. Always look forward to your posts. Do a cookbook for each – that would be great! But if you are doing just one the desserts, simple dinners, sides and apps would cover everything. I think whichever you do will turn out great and I can not wait to buy it.

I always appreciate a cookbook that has a little bit of everything: appetizers, entrees, sides, and dessert– and if they are cohesive recipes that can lead to an entire meal instead of taking recipes from here and there, that would make things simple for the reader as well. An all-in-one sort of thing.

I love dessert cookbooks!! The first ones i’ll pick up. But we all gatta eat other things besides desserts, so go for the whole deal, but make the dessert section the biggest :). Good luck, look foward to your book!!!

number 3… i was going to comment that you do a lot of desserts on the blog, which are all unique and delicious, but I’d love to see more savory dishes that are easy to cook and unique like that… so I think having desserts, dinners and appetizers would work for the everyday cook!

I will have to vote for a cookbook with both dinner and dessert recipes. You have so many clever and delicious recipes of each type, that it would be too hard to choose one or the other! 🙂

  15. Rachel

My vote is for quick and easy dinners, and sides. I am always running out of ideas for dinners.

  16. Jade Thurman

I agree that your delish desserts should be in the spotlight of your cookbook – but I also think sharing a few of your dinner and sides ideas would rock =)

I’d definitely say #3, with an emphasis on desserts! All of your recipes look amazing though, so I don’t think you could wrong!

  18. Micaela

I am always looking to buy cookbooks with easy dinner recipes, BUT I think that the desserts are your specialty and a dessert cookbook with all of your yummy recipes would DEFINITELY sell!

  19. Carissa

Your desserts are always amazing, but I make dinners more than I make desserts so I’m going for option #3 so we can have a little of everything. I’m super excited though!
