My favorite dessert was when I stopped with my Grandparents at a diner in Arkansas almost 30 years ago. The lady at the diner had made a pumpkin cheesecake. It was a layer of pumpkin with a layer of cheesecake, it was delicious. I have never found another like it, my Mom-mom was in heaven. The second best recipe I have ever found is a white chocolate pumpkin cheesecake recipe that I found on Regis and Kelly’s website after they had made it on their show!! Happy Mother’s Day!

A giant ice cream sundae – cookie dough ice cream, peanut butter sauce, caramel sauce, marshmallow, homemade hot fudge, cookie dough pieces, heath bar crunch, Reese’s peanut butter cups, peanut butter m&m’s, lots of homemade whipped cream, and chocolate jimmies on top! Mmmmm! 🙂

Definitely Cheesecake!
Being a male (am I the only male Picky Palate reader??!), I will say that my favorite dessert to make FOR my mother (which I then get to eat, as well, of course) is delicious black and white cake that I got from New York’s Clinton St. Baking Company cookbook! Pumpkin puree makes the cake SO moist, and it is frosted with a cream cheese frosting AND THEN covered with a chocolate glaze. It’s amazing!!
I’m not a mother yet, but I would make my mom her favorite dessert ever…caramel apple pie!! 🙂
If I could have any dessert I wanted for Mother’s Day it would be a very cold flan topped with fresh whip cream and sliced strawberries with a cup of cinnamon brewed coffee. I would share it with a Mother. Mmm!!!

I’m making my MIL and Grandmothers-in-law a yellow cake with strawberry buttercream! Yum! Since I picked it, I guess that’s what my dream Mother’s day dessert would be.
