What exciting news to find Ragú® Old World Style® Traditional Pasta Sauce now has two servings of veggies in every half cup.
We are massive pasta eaters in the Picky Palate house, so I was thrilled to try Ragu’s new pasta sauce with all the extra veggies packed in.
I found that the new formulation doesn’t actually have any different ingredients than the old formula. They’ve just packed more veggies into the formula to get to 2 servings of veggies per half cup (vs. 1 serving per half cup). The taste is the same great taste and they want to assure moms that the sauce they’re used to and have been feeding their families for years hasn’t changed.
We tried the Skillet Pasta and Beef Dinner with our new veggie packed Ragu and the kids went nuts for it. Before I added the sauce, I made sure I tried a spoon of each (the old and the new) and I enjoyed the chunkiness of the new sauce because I knew it was packed with lots of vegetables!
The dinner was a huge success and it literally took minutes to prepare. I love pulling out quick and simple recipes during the busy school week and that is exactly what Ragu helps us with. A great pasta sauce packed with lots of vegetables. Mom is happy and the kids are happy!

Baked Ziti with Italian Sausage and some Ragu sauce.
Spaghetti is our go to on busy nights. Sometimes I shred carrots and hide them in the sauce.

When it’s a crazy night and I’m running around like a chicken with my head chopped off…I make chicken! Actually, I make garlic chicken pasta using fun-shaped wheat pasta, a couple TBSP of butter, garlic salt and pepper to taste, and diced chicken. Mmmmmmm…carbs and meat!

I make meatballs ahead of time and freeze them. When we’re in a hurry, I just throw them in sauce and cook a batch of rotini noodles…yum!
Love to add this Ragu to hamb meat and pork n beans is real good
At least once a week I fry up a pound of ground beef, add it to a jar of Ragu and serve it over Angel Hair. It is so quick and easy, yet fulfilling and comforting! Certainly a staple and a go to dinner at my house.
Hands down, pasta and jarred (Ragu) sauce! FAST, easy and the kids love it.

Crazy, busy is an understatement! I’ve discovered that I can’t be in two places at the same time! We seldom get to eat together, but the kids are pretty good about eating whatever is prepared. I’m glad pasta cooks quickly and the ease of pouring a jar of delicious Ragu’ over anything is appreciated. My daughters and I love salad and all of us like good, warm french bread to go along with our dinner.
Thanks for the giveaway.

The classic spaghetti and meatballs is a favorite at our house. 🙂
Spaghetti is the easiest and fastest. But, if I have extra time I love to make chicken lasagna.
