We love serving queso dip for family parties and gatherings all year round. This recipe is so simple and serves a crowd! Everyone will love this queso. It’s perfect for dipping tortilla chips, poured over nachos, and even inside burritos and tacos. Try it out during your next party!!

What You’ll Need
- Ricos Gourmet Nacho Cheese Sauce– Check Walmart for this brand of nacho cheese.
- Prepared Salsa- I use Sadies Salsa, not as hot. Any prepared salsa you enjoy works just fine.
- ground sausage– Jimmy Dean has good sausage rolls, you can choose mild or hot.
How To Make Queso Dip Recipe
- Place cheese sauce into crockpot set to medium or low setting. Stir in salsa.
- Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir until browned. Stir into crockpot and close lid. Let cook in crockpot until hot, anywhere from 2-6 hours. Stir often. Serve queso dip with your favorite tortilla chips.
Where Can I Find This Nacho Cheese Sauce?
I found the Rico’s brand nacho cheese sauce at Walmart. Check online if you’re having trouble. Amazon is always a good resource.
Add your favorite prepared salsa to the cheese sauce and give a good stir.
What Is Queso?
Queso means “cheese” in Spanish, but it’s known as a cheese based dipping sauce for tortilla chips. It’s great served at parties.
I added 12 ounces of salsa to the crockpot. Add more if you want it a bit spicier.
Brown the sausage to get ready to add to the crockpot.
Add browned sausage to the crockpot. You can leave out the sausage if you’d like too.
Stir queso and set crockpot to medium or low setting. close lid and let queso get hot. I let the queso cook and heat for a good 2-6 hours before serving. Stir often.
How To Serve?
Serve cheese dip with your favorite tortilla chips or artisan bread cubes at your upcoming parties. It’s also great poured over nachos and inside burritos and tacos. Always a popular appetizer among family and friends.
Can I Save Leftovers?
Yes, save any leftovers that have been cooled, in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Reheat in microwave or crockpot as needed.
