What You’ll Need
Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make baked meatball sliders at home. See the recipe card and video located at the bottom of the post for full details.
- Mini Meatballs– I like using mini meatballs that I find at Trader Joe’s, but regular sized meatballs work just fine too. If they’re too big, it’s helpful to cut them in half before arranging onto the rolls.
- Hawaiian Rolls– For this recipe, I used the 12 count Hawaiian Rolls, you can also use the 24 count for a bigger serving. You’ll need to adjust the ingredients if using the larger count. See the photos below for instructions on how to slice the rolls. Don’t separate each roll.
- Provolone Cheese Slices– Provolone was delicious, but Swiss, Mozzarella are a couple other options that would be great.
- Pasta Sauce– Your favorite brand of pasta sauce works just fine. Trader Joe’s has some nice pasta sauce. We like Rao’s brand too.
- Parmesan Cheese– I used the basic Kraft grated Parmesan cheese. Any type of Parmesan works just fine.
- Garlic Spread– Some grocery stores will sell garlic spread usually sold near the bread/bakery section. It’s not refrigerated. I like to use this to brush over the rolls before baking. You can also use melted butter and minced garlic if needed.

Recipe Questions and Answers
What If I Can’t Find Mini Meatballs? Will Regular Sized Work?
Yes, you can use regular sized meatballs if you can’t find the mini size at your grocery store or Trader Joe’s. Once they’re warmed, I would suggest cutting them in half before arranging on the rolls.
Can I Make My Own Meatballs Instead Of Using Frozen?
Yes, absolutely! I have an awesome meatball recipe you can use too!
Any Substitutions For The Meatballs?
You can use ground beef if you’d rather. Cooked shredded rotisserie chicken works too!
Can I Use Different Rolls?
If you can’t find Hawaiian Rolls, you can use regular dinner rolls. I suggest finding some that are baked together similar to the Hawaiian Rolls. It makes them so nice and easy to assemble and cut.
